Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining server infrastructure (Windows and Linux), virtualization environments, and container platforms
- Overseeing networking, firewalling, and security activities to ensure system reliability and protection
- Managing backup, replication, disaster recovery, monitoring, and business continuity processes
- Automating recurring tasks through scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Supporting infrastructures serving AI workloads and contributing to the adoption of AI-based tools within IT processes
- Handling second‑level escalations, producing documentation and procedures, and acting as a point of reference for first‑level support teams
Education & Experience
- Master's degree with strong academic results in a scientific discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields)
- At least 5 years of professional experience managing Networking and Infrastructure projects
Technical Skills
- Administration of Windows and Linux environments, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, and Python), Infrastructure as Code (Ansible and Terraform)
- Experience with major virtualization platforms, Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies
- Wired and wireless networking, Firewall management, SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions
- Identity and Access Management (Active Directory, Entra ID,
MFA), System hardening, vulnerability management, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Basic knowledge of SIEM and Zero Trust architectures
- Backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions, monitoring and observability tools
- Support for AI/ML infrastructures, including GPU‑based workloads, basic knowledge of MLOps and AIOps tools
- Nice‑to‑have skills: Mobile Device Management (Intune), macOS administration, relevant certifications (Microsoft, CKA, CCNA, Security certifications)
Soft Skills
- Strong diagnostic, problem‑solving, incident management, and escalation handling capabilities, including under pressure and within SLA constraints
- Effective communication skills, documentation abilities (runbooks and knowledge bases), and a mentoring mindset toward first‑level support teams
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, teamwork orientation, and commitment to internal customer service
- Continuous learning mindset to keep pace with rapidly evolving technologies
- Good command of English; knowledge of a second language is considered an advantage
