Job Purpose Security Engineer is responsible for protecting an organization's systems and networks, securing data, and mitigating risks and vulnerabilities. They utilize a strong understanding of cyber threats, security principles, and technical expertise to safeguard information assets, ensuring full compliance with applicable cybersecurity regulations for railway (Direttiva 2016/1148 (Direttiva NIS)). Job Duties (Responsibilities and Accountabilities) Identify and define system security requirements Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices Ensure rapid incident detection and reporting Develop technical solutions and new security tools to mitigate vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings and recommendations Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses,
and security assessments Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments Train staff on network and information security procedures Stay up‐to‐date with the latest information security technologies and advancements Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (electronic, electric, computer science, telecommunication) or equivalent experience IT skills: experience with computer servers, network switches, load balancers, network analyzers, and related units Knowledge of developing strategic Cyber Risk and Security manager plans Solid understanding of network and system development and deployment Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and conceptual abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with information processing fundamentals and best practices Ability to prioritize tasks, especially under pressure Leadership, collaboration, decision‐making, troubleshooting, interpersonal and consultative skills Ability to present ide
