Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior / Middle Firmware Engineer to join our R&D; Hardware & Firmware Engineering team. You will be responsible for developing on-device code (embedded software) and digital logic for high-precision personalization systems, working across legacy maintenance and next-generation product architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Firmware Development: Design, write, and maintain embedded software in C and C++ for microcontrollers and dedicated target hardware.
- FPGA & Logic Design: Develop and integrate VHDL code on FPGA architectures for digital logic and motor/motion control systems.
- Hardware Integration: Collaborate with hardware and mechanical teams to integrate firmware with electronic boards and support system bring-up.
- Debugging & Testing: Troubleshoot code and hardware interfaces using laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Driver Development: Write low-level drivers and manage communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, USB, TCP/IP, CAN).
- Code Maintenance & Docs: Perform bug-fixing on legacy systems, maintain technical documentation, and manage versioning via Git.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have Requirements
- Education: Technical Diploma / ITS Degree (Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Science) OR Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering.
- Experience: 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience in firmware or low-level development (relevant academic/personal projects are considered for Junior candidates).
- Programming: Solid foundation in C and/or C++ for embedded systems.
- Digital Logic: Working knowledge of VHDL and FPGA architectures.
- Hardware Interfacing: Familiarity with microcontroller architectures, low-level protocols (UART, SPI, I2C), and basic lab tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
- Tools & Languages: Version control via Git; professional working proficiency in technical English.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with RTOS or bare-metal programming.
- Exposure to motion control, smart card technologies, RFID/NFC, or cryptography.
- Object-Oriented Design (OOD) concepts.

- Strong hands-on problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional R&D; teams.
- Proactive learning attitude and operational autonomy.
