Job Title Shift Technician - Data Centre / Critical Facilities Location Contract Type * Permanent * Full-time * Competitive, based on experience and technical background Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Shift Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of a critical facility environment. The role will involve planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems, site inspections, contractor supervision, and monitoring of building management systems. Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems. * Support the operation and upkeep of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical infrastructure. * Perform regular site checks to ensure equipment and systems are operating correctly. * Assist with fault finding, troubleshooting, and first-line technical response. * Escort and supervise subcontractors working on-site. * Monitor facility systems through the BMS and escalation issues where required. * Ensure work is completed in line with site safety procedures, maintenance standards, and operational requirements. * Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activity, and technical interventions. Required Experience * Minimum 2 years' experience in facilities maintenance, electrical maintenance,



or a similar technical environment. * Good working knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems. * Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on-site. * Previous exposure to data centres, critical environments, industrial facilities, or similar high-availability sites would be highly advantageous. * Knowledge of HVAC systems would be beneficial. Skills and Attributes * Strong practical maintenance and troubleshooting ability. * Good attention to detail and a professional approach to site work. * Able to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors. * Confident using Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. * English language skills would be an advantage. * Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred. Education * A technical diploma or relevant qualification is preferred, although equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
