ppbReport to: Director of Engineering /b /p pbJob Title: Engineering Manager /b /p pThe Engineering Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of all hotel maintenance activities, ensuring the optimal functioning of systems, equipment, and infrastructure, in full compliance with Park Hyatt standards, safety regulations, and the expectations of an international luxury clientele. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Technical and Operational Management /h3 ul liPlan, coordinate, and supervise routine, extraordinary, and preventive maintenance activities across the hotel /li liEnsure the operational efficiency of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and building management systems /li liRespond promptly to critical failures to minimize impact on guest experience and hotel operations /li liManage maintenance issues to guarantee continuous hotel efficiency, in coordination with the Engineering Supervisor /li liConduct periodic visual inspections (daily or weekly) to verify compliance with standards, schedules, and hotel activities /li liSupervise the work carried out by external contractors on‑site /li liDevelop and oversee projects defined by management, supporting the Director of Engineering /li /ul h3Leadership and People Management /h3 ul liManage, coordinate, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring high levels of competence, motivation, and performance /li liOrganize work shifts, on‑call schedules, and ongoing technical training /li liParticipate in daily departmental briefings ("handover") to ensure effective communication /li liPromote a culture of safety, quality, and attention to detail /li /ul h3Luxury Standards and Guest Experience /h3 ul liCollaborate with Front Office, Housekeeping, FB, and other hotel departments to ensure impeccable and responsive service to guest needs /li liEnsure that guest rooms, public areas,
and back‑of‑house spaces consistently meet the aesthetic and functional standards of the Park Hyatt brand /li liHandle VIP guest requests or feedback with discretion and professionalism /li /ul h3Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability /h3 ul liEnsure full compliance with all applicable regulations regarding safety, health, environment, and energy efficiency /li liCoordinate inspections, technical audits, and controls by external authorities /li liImplement sustainability initiatives, energy‑saving measures, and improvements to environmental impact /li liVerify and supervise safety aspects related to external contractors, supporting the Director of Engineering in activities related to contract management /li /ul h3Budget and Suppliers /h3 ul liPrepare and manage the maintenance and CAPEX budget, supporting the Director of Engineering and Engineering Department /li liSelect, negotiate, and oversee external suppliers and contractors in coordination with the Director of Engineering and Procurement Office, with particular attention to scheduling their activities /li liMonitor costs, maintenance contracts, and supplier performance, supporting the Director of Engineering and Engineering Department /li /ul h3Requirements and Qualifications /h3 ul liTechnical diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building, or related fields) /li liSolid experience (minimum 5–7 years) in similar roles, preferably in luxury hospitality or complex environments /li liFlexibility to work shifts and weekends /li liProven experience managing structured technical teams /li liStrong knowledge of hotel systems and maintenance operations /li liFamiliarity with preventive maintenance software and Building Management Systems (BMS) /li liKnowledge of Italian safety and fire regulations /li liStrong leadership with a service‑oriented approach /li liExcellent organizational and problem‑solving skills /li liHigh attention to detail and quality standards /li liAbility to work in high‑pressure environments with demanding standards /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
