We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join the Paris Operations Engineering team asConsultant Engineerbased in Milan, Italyand reporting toMarta Vescovi,Group Manager Field Engineering.

The role will involveWork in partnership withFMclients, understanding their businesses and helping them to prevent and to control fireandnatural hazardlosses.
Ensure that all hazards are properlyidentifiedat client locations: conduct on-site loss prevention evaluationstoidentifyallreasonably foreseeablephysical and human element exposures.
Accurately quantifyexposures to assure that the Account Team placesan appropriate levelof attention on the exposure and the impact to the business.
Obtain local client understanding and agreement on the hazards/exposures and their potential business impact.
Achieve practical, effective on-site risk improvement, such as human element / maintenance programs and low / moderate cost physical improvements.
In cooperation with Account Engineering, develop risk improvement plansrequiringhigh capital investments.
Illustrate the value-added differential of FM engineering capabilities and, in cooperation with Account Engineering, promote innovative methods to educate the client on loss prevention strategies.
Identifyupcoming changes at client locations to prevent associated exposures, providingtimelyhigh qualityproject support and plan review services changes to ensure that proper loss prevention considerations are achieved at the design stage.




Education Background and Experience5-yearengineering(Bachelor's)degree with a minimum 3years ofexperience in industrial context (preferred maintenance or fire protection roles).
Background in loss prevention engineering,experience in fire protection or maintenance department is highly valued.
Experience in industries like Chemical, Mining, PowerGen, Pulp & Paper or Civil is highly valued.
Fluency inItalian& English - written & oral.Other European languages will also be valued.
SkillsThe ConsultantEngineer is expected to:
Build strong customer relationships, deliver client-centricsolutionsand follow up to ensure problems are solved.
Build partnerships, work collaboratively with others to meet sharedobjectives, welcomefeedbackand input of others
Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Puthigh attention to details,have excellent organizational skills,and be a strong analytical thinker with logical application.
Accept needed change despite the uncertainty it brings and constructively deal with problems thatdon'thave clear solutions.
Make good andtimelydecisions by assessing complex issues in detail and from multiple angles to get the complete picture.
Take ownership ofownwork,monitorprogress of performance and change approach accordingly.

The role requires extensive travelling in an assigned geographical area, but also throughout theoperationterritory, as well as to USA (morefrequentlyduring theinitialtraining path, then sporadicallylater on).
