/pp Our client is a major global power infrastructure business making serious, long-term investment in Data Centres.
With growing capability across critical power, electrical distribution, modular infrastructure and advanced cooling, the business is building a genuine end-to-end proposition for hyperscale, colocation and AI-led developments.
This is a highly visible, forward-facing role for an electrical design leader who wants to influence projects early, work directly with major customers and remain close to the engineering.
/pp The opportunity /pp You will lead the electrical design scope of complex Data Centre projects from concept and detailed design through construction support, commissioning and closeout.
/pp The role goes well beyond design coordination.
You will help shape technical strategy, lead key engineering decisions and work with customers, consultants, contractors and internal specialists to develop resilient, efficient and scalable infrastructure.
/pp You will: /pulli Lead electrical design across major Data Centre projects /lili Own critical decisions involving MV, LV, transformers, UPS and standby generation /lili Coordinate electrical engineers and specialist technical contributors /lili Review and approve designs, calculations, reports and specifications /lili Lead customer meetings, design reviews, optioneering and value engineering /lili Support construction, installation and commissioning activities /lili Improve design standards, engineering processes and technical quality /lili Mentor engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the regional design function /li /ulp What you will bring /pp You are likely to be working as a Data Centre Design Manager, Lead Electrical Engineer,
Principal Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Manager.
/pp You will need: /pulli Strong electrical design experience within Data Centres or mission-critical infrastructure /lili Experience leading projects through multiple design and delivery stages /lili Detailed knowledge of MV/LV distribution, transformers, UPS and generators /lili The ability to challenge, approve and take ownership of complex designs /lili Experience coordinating engineers or multidisciplinary technical teams /lili Confidence working directly with customers and senior project stakeholders /lili Professional fluency in English and Italian /lili A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline /lili Experience with cooling, BMS, energy management, AutoCAD, Revit or high-density AI infrastructure would be beneficial.
