The role requires a strong end-to-end vision of the system–payload–ground segment, with technical coordination skills and interaction with clients, suppliers, and partners.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the system design and technical consistency of missions and products
Derivation, consolidation, and management of system and subsystem requirements
Definition and maintenance of system architectures, functional chains, and interfaces (ICD)
Contribution to mission analyses and performance budgets (mass, power, data, thermal, link)
Conducting system trade-offs (architectures, technologies, make-or-buy decisions)
Preparation of key systems engineering deliverables (CONOPS, requirements, ICD, verification plans)
Planning and supporting subsystem and system-level integration, verification, and validation
