About the Role

We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join our Sales Unit in Italy.

In this role, you will act as a trusted technical partner throughout the sales process, designing material flow solutions and translating customer requirements into tailored technical concepts based on the Interroll platform portfolio.

This is a highly technical role requiring the ability to interpret technical drawings, develop practical engineering solutions and work closely with Sales, Engineering, Production Plants and customers to deliver high-quality material handling projects.

Responsibilities

- Consult customers on material handling and intralogistics solutions.
- Design material flow concepts and prepare technical drawings based on the Interroll platform portfolio.
- Prepare, review and maintain technical layouts and drawings using CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD 2D/3D).
- Develop the technical scope of customer proposals and support quotation preparation.
- Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle and support Area Sales Managers during customer engagements.
- Coordinate order management activities in collaboration with customers, Area Sales Managers Solution and production plants.
- Ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible, competitive and aligned with customer requirements.
- Support project execution by acting as the technical interface between internal stakeholders and customers.

Background





- Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D or equivalent CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mandatory).
- Previous experience in solution engineering, mechanical design, industrial automation or a similar technical environment is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of material handling, conveyor systems, intralogistics or industrial automation is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of autonomy, flexibility and customer orientation.

Travel: Approximately 5%, depending on customer and project requirements.
