Summary
OXBO are supporting a leading renewable energy business with a strong pipeline (~15GW) of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Italy and Europe.
As the team continues to grow, they are now looking for an Engineering Manager to join their Milan office.
This role will lead engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, working closely with development, EPC, construction, and investment teams to ensure the successful delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering activities for Solar PV and BESS projects across Italy and Europe
- Oversee technical due diligence, project design, engineering reviews, and construction support
- Support project development, M&A; activities, procurement, and execution phases
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with technical, quality, safety, budget, and schedule requirements
- Review and approve technical documentation including layouts, SLDs, specifications, and construction drawings
- Provide strategic engineering input throughout project development and delivery
- Manage engineering risks and support troubleshooting during construction and commissioning phases
- Collaborate closely with construction and site teams to ensure effective project execution and compliance with design standards
Experience Required
- 4+ years' experience within Solar PV and/or BESS engineering, including experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Strong construction and EPC experience, supporting construction teams from an engineering perspective
- Advanced AutoCAD proficiency
- Experience conducting energy yield assessments
- Experience using PVsyst or similar software
- Degree qualified with an electrical engineering or energy engineering background
- Fluent in English; Italian language skills are advantageous
