pstrongPosition Mission /strong /ppThe Firmware Engineer, reporting to the Team Leader, will be involved in the complete hardware and firmware design of digital electronics, from the initial phase (component selection, resource estimation) up to the digital design for programmable devices (FPGA and SoC, CPLD, microcontroller) /ppbr / /ppstrongResponsibilities /strong /pulliDefinition of Technical specifications, hardware requirements and implementations for digital designs targeting FPGAs and SoC, CPLDs, microcontrollers; /liliEstimate implementation effort for given tasks; /liliDesign, verify through simulation, validate and debug high speed digital design targeting FPGA devices (VHDL code) ; /liliCustom IP design for microcontroller implemented in FPGA (VHDL) and related driver (C code); /liliFirmware design in C code targeting microcontroller devices; /liliSimple software application in C/C++ code (software for SoC design and test applications); /liliMaintenance and debug of existing projects; /liliDesign methodologies based on the reuse of Intellectual Properties (IPs); /liliDocumentation of design specifications and implementation details; /liliDevelopment of appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware; /liliCollaboration with other team members (including optical, hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc.

Qualifications and Professional Experience /strong /pulliDegree in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering /lili1/2 years of experience in similar roles /liliKnowledge of Hardware Description Language for FPGA design, VHDL (preferable) or Verilog /liliKnowledge of Xilinx and Altera/Intel FPGA design suites (ISE, Vivado, Quartus) /liliknowledge of C/C++ for embedded microprocessors or microcontrollers /lili(Nice to have) experience with PCB design tools (Altium) /lili(Nice to have) knowledge of system modeling tools (Matlab/Simulink) /lili(Nice to have) experience on image processing algorithms /lili(Nice to have) experience on software drivers for Windows OS or Linux OS /liliGood knowledge of written and spoken English /liliAvailability for sporadic national and international travels /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongCCNL /strong: Metalmeccanico /ppstrongContract type /strong: Tempo pieno, Apprenticeship /ppstrongGross Annual Salary (RAL) /strong: ******€ - ******€, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
