Join the heart of campus life – become a Kitchen Associate at your Student Union, providing food to Sanctuary and Asylum bars! You must be intending to be a student at the University of Hull for the next academic year, May 2026- May 2027.

About The Role




Join our dynamic kitchen team at the heart of a bustling student union! We're looking for enthusiastic Kitchen Associates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering high-quality food with speed and precision. You'll be part of a friendly, supportive crew committed to excellence, serving a diverse student community with fresh, delicious meals—all within 10 minutes. If you’re passionate about food, teamwork, and making a difference in a vibrant campus setting, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present food quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards

Assist in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy, at all times

Keep up to date with current promotions, club nights and new products

Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the manager

Complete all appropriate company documentation and key tasks, on every shift

Maintain personal knowledge by completing all training

Always adhere to all company policies and procedures

Be involved and contribute at team meetings

Carry out instructions given by the management team

Reports to the Kitchen Manager

Essential
About You

5 GCSE level/equivalent – grade C and above including English and Maths.

No experience necessary

Customer service/ hospitality experience

Skills/Ability/Knowledge

Remain calm, patient and polite, if receiving customer feedback

Access to staff feeding if you have worked for longer than 4.5 hours

Enhancement of £1 per hour for time worked after midnight

Staff feeding includes a meal and a drink from a selection of the menu.
