About the role iOS Developer - Consumer Wealth at satispay.
The Consumer Wealth squad builds the financial toolkit that empowers millions of customers to invest, save, and oversee their capital directly from the Satispay app. In this position, you will architect and ship native iOS capabilities for investment vehicles such as Stocks, ETFs, and Funds, balancing high-performance rendering with strict security requirements. You will operate at the intersection of product, design, and backend engineering to translate sophisticated financial logic into seamless mobile experiences. The role demands a pragmatic approach to modern iOS development, leveraging AI-assisted workflows to accelerate delivery without compromising code integrity. Ultimately, your work will directly influence how a massive user base interacts with wealth management features on a daily basis.
Key facts Location: Milan, Italy
Engagement: Full-time
Compensation: 45,000 to 53,000 EUR gross per annum
Team: Consumer Wealth
What you'll do Architect, develop, and release end-to-end native iOS features spanning the full lifecycle from technical specification and prototyping to App Store deployment and post-launch monitoring.
Collaborate closely with backend engineers to define robust API contracts, partner with product managers to refine scope and acceptance criteria, and work alongside designers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of complex financial interfaces.
Transform intricate financial datasets, real-time market feeds, and interactive charting libraries into intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces that demystify investing for a broad audience.
Integrate AI-powered development assistants into your daily workflow to generate boilerplate, refactor legacy modules, perform automated root cause analysis on crash reports, and maintain living technical documentation.
Design, instrument, and analyze A/B experiments in tandem with data analysts to validate hypotheses regarding user engagement, conversion funnels, and feature adoption metrics.
Enforce rigorous engineering standards by conducting thorough code reviews, establishing comprehensive unit and UI test coverage, and implementing static analysis tooling to safeguard reliability and security.
Drive the modularization of the codebase by defining clear module boundaries, managing dependency graphs through dependency injection containers, and reducing build times via explicit module interfaces.
Optimize application performance by profiling memory allocation, reducing main-thread hitches during heavy data processing, and ensuring smooth 60fps/120fps scrolling in data-dense views.

Implement robust security patterns including certificate pinning, secure enclave utilization for key management, and adherence to OWASP MASVS guidelines for financial applications.
Mentor junior engineers on Swift best practices, reactive programming paradigms, and architectural decision-making through pair programming sessions and internal tech talks.
Participate in on-call rotations to triage critical production incidents, perform hotfix deployments, and contribute to post-mortem documentation for systemic improvements.
Stay current with the evolving Apple ecosystem, evaluating new frameworks (such as SwiftData, Observation, or Swift Testing) for adoption feasibility within the existing tech stack.
Requirements Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
Demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience designing, building, and shipping production-grade native iOS applications to the App Store.
Exhibit deep proficiency in Swift 5.9+, including advanced language features such as concurrency (async/await, actors), generics, and protocol-oriented programming.
Possess extensive hands-on expertise with both UIKit (Auto Layout, UICollectionView/UITableView compositional layouts) and SwiftUI (state management, layout system, interoperability with UIKit).
Have proven experience implementing the MVVM architectural pattern at scale, utilizing Dependency Injection (manual or via frameworks like Factory/Swinject) to ensure testability and separation of concerns.
Show a strong track record of app modularization strategies (dynamic frameworks, static libraries, or SPM packages) to decouple features and enable parallel team development.
Command reactive programming paradigms using RxSwift or ReactiveSwift (Combine knowledge is a strong plus) for managing asynchronous data streams and complex UI state machines.
Display a genuine passion for the fintech domain, specifically wealth management, brokerage services, or personal finance tooling, with an understanding of regulatory constraints like MiFID II or GDPR.
Communicate fluently in English (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively within a diverse, international engineering organization.

Nice to have A portfolio of personal or side-project applications published on the App Store demonstrating initiative and product sense.
Prior experience rendering high-frequency real-time data feeds (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events) or complex financial charting libraries (e.g., TradingView, Charts, DGCharts).
Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or cross-platform code sharing strategies for business logic.
Experience with GraphQL clients (Apollo iOS) or gRPC/Protobuf for type-safe network communication.
Contributions to open-source iOS libraries or active participation in the Swift evolution process.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline configuration (Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Fastlane) for automated testing, code signing, and TestFlight distribution.
Skills & tools Swift (Concurrency, Generics, Protocol-Oriented Programming)
UIKit (Compositional Layouts, Diffable Data Sources, Auto Layout)
SwiftUI (State Management, Animation, UIKit Interoperability)
MVVM / Clean Architecture
RxSwift / ReactiveSwift / Combine
Dependency Injection (Factory, Swinject, or Manual)
Swift Package Manager (Modularization, Plugin Development)
iOS SDK (Core Data, Core Animation, Security Framework, Network Framework)
AI-assisted development (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT for coding tasks)
Testing (XCTest, Swift Testing, Snapshot Testing, EarlGrey/XCUITest)
CI/CD (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, TestFlight/App Store Connect API)
Financial Data Visualization (DGCharts, TradingView Lightweight Charts, Custom Canvas Rendering)
Practical notes Hybrid work arrangement requiring three days per week at the Milan headquarters (fixed days: Tuesday and Thursday, plus one flexible day chosen by the employee), with the remaining days available for remote work.
Comprehensive benefits package including private health insurance coverage extended to immediate family members, mental wellness support provided through the Serenis platform, and a competitive stock option grant (phantom shares) aligned with company growth.
Relocation assistance program available for candidates moving from abroad, covering visa sponsorship logistics, initial accommodation search, and administrative onboarding.
Additional perks comprise meal vouchers (Satispay credit), unlimited paid time off policy subject to manager approval, subsidized language learning subscriptions via Preply, and enhanced parental leave policies exceeding Italian statutory minimums.
