/p h3Job Description /h3 pWe are currently seeking a bControls Deployment Leader – Thermal Management (EMEA) /b to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy.
The role drives standardization, quality, and performance of controls for air? and liquid?based cooling technologies, ensuring reliable operation in mission?critical environments.
The position partners closely with engineering, commissioning, and field teams to deliver scalable, high?efficiency thermal solutions.
/p h3What kind of work will you be doing?
/h3 ul liLead deployment of control systems across Vertiv Thermal Management solutions, including: ul liChilled water and DX thermal systems /li liCRAH/CRAC units /li liAir handling and economization systems /li liLiquid cooling technologies /li /ul /li liExecute standardized control architectures, sequences of operation, and alarm strategies aligned with Vertiv global engineering standards /li liSupport cross?functional teams including Thermal Engineering, Integrated Solutions, Project Management, Commissioning, and Field Service /li liOversee control panel configuration, PLC programming, network integration, and system validation /li liLead FAT, SAT, and Level 3–5 commissioning activities, ensuring systems meet design intent and performance requirements /li liSupport integration with customer BMS/DCIM platforms when requested /li liDrive optimization of thermal performance, redundancy strategies (N+1, 2N), and energy efficiency (PUE targets) /li liProvide on?site technical leadership during commissioning, startup, and customer handover /li liIdentify and resolve field issues,
minimizing rework and ensuring first?pass success /li liCapture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across EMEA deployments /li /ul h3What will make you successful?
/h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent experience) /li li7+ years of experience in HVAC controls, data center cooling systems, or mission?critical infrastructure /li liHands?on experience with PLCs, industrial control systems, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP) /li liProven experience deploying thermal systems within data centers or critical environments /li liKnowledge of chilled water systems, DX cooling, and airflow management /li liExperience with various thermal deployments /li liFamiliarity with hyperscale and colocation customers /li liExperience working across multiple EMEA countries and contractor environments /li liStrong execution and ownership mindset aligned with Vertiv delivery culture /li liDeep technical expertise in thermal management systems and controls /li liAbility to lead cross?functional and geographically distributed teams /li liEffective communication across customers, partners, and internal stakeholders /li liCommitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence /li /ul h3Key Metrics /h3 ul liOn?time delivery of Thermal Management controls deployments across EMEA /li liFirst?pass commissioning success rate (L1–L5) /li liThermal system performance and uptime compliance /li liReduction in field defects and rework /li liCustomer satisfaction and successful project handover /li /ul h3Work Environment /h3 ul liField?intensive role with up to 50% travel across EMEA data center sites /li liWork in live,
