Are you passionate about professional lighting and would you like to turn that passion into a profession? This internship is designed as a first step towards the Product Specialist role, even without previous experience: a path to learn how to follow products from concept to development, all the way to promotion and use in the field. Music & Lights designs, manufactures and distributes professional lighting solutions for the Film & TV, Live Events, Theatre and Architectural markets, used in more than 70 countries. You will join the product engineering area, in an international environment, with continuous training and the support of experienced colleagues.

About the role
You will take part in a 6-month training path at our HQ in Minturno (LT), with a dedicated tutor and an individual training plan, designed to grow gradually towards the Product Specialist role. You will work alongside the product team on defining specifications, testing and debugging firmware, software and user interfaces, and gathering feedback from customers and the sales network to report back to R&D.; As the path progresses you will also be involved in demonstration activities alongside the team, at customers and suppliers and at industry trade shows and events.
Key responsibilities
Work alongside the team on defining and reviewing functional requirements and SoW (Statement of Work), learning to read technical specifications, menu architecture and DMX control.
Take part in testing and debugging firmware, software, user interfaces and control menus,



contributing to the technical reports on the results.
Contribute to comparison tests between Music & Lights products and those of competitors, learning to document strengths and areas for improvement.
Support the collection and analysis of feedback from customers and the sales network and its reporting to R&D; for future product development.
Work alongside colleagues in sales, marketing, documentation and customer service to prepare technical data, materials and product demos.
Requirements
Passion for professional lighting and for the Concert Touring, Theatre and Broadcast/TV sectors; experience gained as an enthusiast or during studies is appreciated but not required.
Basic knowledge of lighting control systems (e.g. grandMA3 or equivalent), including knowledge gained through training or personal projects.
Basic understanding of computer networks.
Curiosity about the lighting market: products, brands and industry trends.
English at B1 level, with the willingness to develop it through contact with customers and international teams.
IT skills: Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and calendar management.
Interest in the professional use of AI tools (e.g. Claude).




Availability for occasional travel in Italy and abroad, alongside the team.
Preferred skills
Technical background in electronics, IT or performing arts technology (preferred, not essential).
Knowledge of network protocols for lighting and video (sACN, Art-Net, NDI).
First experience with show visualisation software (e.g. Depence2, Capture) or BIM software (e.g. Vectorworks).
Familiarity with video technologies: LED screens and media servers.
Soft skills
Willingness to learn, curiosity and a proactive attitude.
Good communication skills and interest in testing yourself in public speaking.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Problem-solving mindset and teamwork.
Contract and compensation
Path: 6-month internship (3+3), with a dedicated tutor and an individual training plan.
Monthly allowance: €800 per month for the first 3 months, €1,000 per month for the following 3.
Benefits: company canteen and company gym.
Outlook: a path designed to lead to a stable position, up to the full Product Specialist role (CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria).
