Role Profile * Position: Accountant/Finance Manager, Italy Services * Department: Group Finance * Location: Milan, Italy * Reports to: Europe Regional Finance Director * Salary Range: EURO 50,***********,****** Purpose The Finance Manager will have full ownership of the Italy Services entity (c.15 employees), leading all financial, payroll, and statutory activities. This is a hands?on role combining financial control, accounting, payroll coordination, and business partnering within a small, standalone entity environment. Responsibilities * Financial Control & Accounting o Maintain full ownership of the general ledger and accounting records o Record and analyse salaries, including payroll postings and reconciliations o Manage fixed assets: capitalisation, movements, and monthly depreciation o Record purchase invoices, staff expenses, and ensure compliance with deductibility rules o Prepare and post accruals and deferrals (G&A; and other costs) o Manage bank postings, reconciliations, and transaction allocations * Payments & Cash Management o Oversee and process all payments including salaries, tax payments, pension funds, suppliers, VAT, corporate taxes,



and other statutory payments o Act as secondary approver on banking platforms o Monitor cash flow and working capital * VAT, Tax & Statutory Compliance o Prepare and submit VAT returns and maintain VAT registers o Manage quarterly and annual tax declarations o Coordinate with external advisors (CPA, payroll consultant) o Ensure compliance with Italian statutory and tax requirements * Management Reporting & Planning o Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis o Produce additional reporting (e.g. Prophix reports) o Support budgeting and forecasting processes including P&L; and G&A; cost planning, salary cost projections, reconciliation of budget/forecast vs. actuals * Payroll Administration o Act as key interface with outsourced payroll provider o Collect and submit monthly payroll inputs including absences, sick leave, parental leave, salary adjustments, working hour changes, expense reimbursements, benefits o Review payroll outputs and ensure accuracy of payslips o Process salary payments and resolve discrepancies * Employee Finance Administration o Support onboarding processes (tax data, benefits, system coordination) o Manage lunch voucher process (calculation, ordering, distribution)



o Support expenses process (with ongoing automation improvements) o Process premio payments in coordination with HR * Revenue & Intercompany Accounting o Raise and record sales invoices (including SDI e-invoicing) o Manage recharge invoices and intercompany transactions o Reconcile intercompany balances and agreements * Audit & Governance o Lead the audit process and prepare statutory accounts o Ensure timely delivery of audit requirements and filings o Maintain strong internal controls and compliance * Team & Stakeholder Management o Manage and oversee the local finance resource o Act as the primary finance contact for the Italy entity o Collaborate with HR, regional finance teams, and external providers Skills & Experience * Qualified accountant or equivalent experience in Italy * Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP, VAT, and payroll processes * Experience in a broad, hands?on finance role within a small entity * Strong understanding of end?to?end accounting and payroll * Experience working with external payroll providers and auditors * High attention to detail and strong organisational skills * Fluent in Italian and English Person Specification * Hands?on and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership * Comfortable operating as a standalone finance lead * Strong problem?solving and process improvement mindset * Effective communicator with both finance and non?finance stakeholders Abercrombie & Kent is an equal opportunity employer.
