-- The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Embedded Systems Engineer to join our innovative development team.
In this role, you will spearhead the design and optimization of the embedded systems integrated into our appliance product line.
Operating within a dynamic Agile framework, you will contribute to the complete product lifecycle—from initial concept and prototyping through to deployment and maintenance.
This position offers a unique opportunity to merge core embedded systems engineering with emerging technologies, guiding projects through hardware component scouting, firmware and algorithm development, and ultimately, seamless IoT cloud integration.
Key Responsibilities: Translate product requirements collected among internal teams into detailed technical specifications for both hardware behavior and our software ecosystem.
Participate in hardware design reviews, schematic validation, and board bring-up processes for new PCB revisions to troubleshoot hardware-firmware integration.
Develop and/or validate low-level drivers and firmware to ensure precise control of hardware components, microcontrollers, sensors, and peripherals.
Codesign/contribute to implement clean, maintainable, and well-documented C/C++ firmware for our appliances, especially the IoT-enabled ones.
Establish secure and seamless device-to-cloud connectivity leveraging platforms such as AWS IoT or Azure IoT.
Collaborate with Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) partners to support the transition from prototyping to mass production, assisting with test fixtures and resolving production-line issues.
Streamline the development lifecycle by utilizing and contributing to CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment.
Partner cross-functionally with cloud, mobile, and UX teams to define system APIs and deliver a unified end-to-end user experience.
Drive continuous delivery within an Agile/Scrum framework, actively participating in sprint planning and iterative feature development.
Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with at least one major IoT cloud platform (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT Hub, etc...).
Understanding the basic electronic principles in hardware design, with knowledge of the main electronic components and eagerness in learning and test new hardware concepts.
Familiarity with CI/CD principles and version control systems, especially Git.
Knowledge of network protocols and standards relevant to IoT (TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTPS).
Essential experience with wireless communication technologies, particularly Wi-Fi and BLE.
Good understanding of 8/16/32-bit microcontroller architectures.
A good knowledge of the English language (both written and spoken).
Ability to leverage at best of AI agents supported by the company to optimize at best the productivity.
Ability to accurately plan own work and meet deadlines.
Good/Basic knowledge of the main cyber security and information protection principles.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Desired Skills): Knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or prototyping.
Experience with embedded operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS.
Experience on Espressif SDK.
Competence in software development for testing and diagnosis (C++, C#, etc.).
Familiarity with hardware-level debugging using tools like oscilloscopes or logic analyzers.
General knowledge of electronic principles and the ability to understand schematics and layout files.
