Experteer Overview As a Senior Backend Software Engineer in the Consumer Growth team, you shape the technical direction and deliver critical services powering the consumer experience from sign-up to engagement. You collaborate across teams to design, implement, and deploy scalable systems that drive growth and keep users satisfied. You will champion engineering excellence and mentor peers while tackling complex, cross-service challenges. This role offers ownership over end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced FinTech environment. Role Responsibilities * Design, implement and operate services powering the consumer experience (payments, identity, loyalty, engagement) across API design, data modeling, and production rollouts * Lead cross-team technical discussions, drive design decisions and produce clear documentation for stakeholders * Raise quality across mobile and backend development with testing strategies, safe rollouts and debt reduction * Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, navigating cross-service dependencies and event-driven patterns * Collaborate with other teams to ensure reliable,



scalable services and maintainability * Own the full lifecycle of features from inception to on-call ownership * Contribute to architecture and technical direction for mission-critical systems * Promote simplicity and maintainability in shared services * Champion operational excellence and proactive problem-solving * Take ownership of work from start to finish in a high-velocity environment Qualifications * 5+ years in backend software engineering * Proven experience with microservices and cloud environments (AWS preferred) * Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise * Deep understanding of distributed systems and dependency management (e.g., banking protocols) * Experience with GenAI-focused features and related tech (LLMs, orchestration frameworks, or AWS Bedrock) * Strong written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration and stakeholder alignment * Goal-driven, adaptable, and capable of delivering beyond initial requirements * Fluency in English and passion for FinTech Benefits * Private health insurance * Stock Option Plan * Relocation support * Unlimited PTO * Hybrid work policy * Language courses #J-*****-Ljbffr
