Position Summary
PGP Glass is seeking an experienced and commercially drivenSales & Marketing Manager - Food & Beverage Glass Packagingto lead business development and sales growth across Italy and selected European markets.
The role will focus on acquiring new customers, managing strategic accounts, identifying market opportunities, and promoting innovative glass packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify and acquire new business opportunities within Food & Beverage sectors.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and volume targets.
Expand PGP Glass'sFood & Beverage Glass Packagingmarket presence across Italy and identified European territories.
Build strong relationships with decision-makers among food and beverage brands.
Generate and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Key Account Management
Manage and grow relationships with existing customers.
Conduct regular customer reviews to enhance satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, contracts, and annual business plans.
Ensure effective customer retention and long-term partnerships.
Market Intelligence & Marketing
Monitor industry trends,
competitor activities, pricing developments, and emerging packaging requirements.
Analyze customer needs and translate market requirements into new product opportunities.
Participate in industry exhibitions, trade fairs, and business networking events.
Develop market insight reports and sales forecasts.
Product & Project Development
Collaborate with innovation, engineering, and design teams to develop new packaging solutions.
Support customers during product development and packaging conversion projects.
Drive adoption of sustainable glass packaging solutions.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure successful project execution.
Commercial Management
Prepare annual sales budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
Monitor profitability, margins, and commercial performance.
Manage RFQs, tender submissions, and pricing proposals.
Ensure achievement of company sales and profitability targets.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, planning, finance, quality, and customer service teams.
Support smooth order execution and timely deliveries.
Resolve customer concerns and ensure excellent service standards.
