ppAngelini Technologies - Fameccanica is seeking a bSoftware Design Engineer /b to join its Automation Converting Engineering team.
/p pBased on the candidate's individual skills and aptitudes, the successful applicant may join one of the following areas: /p ul libPlatforming Engineering Tools: /b development and maintenance of configurators, templates, software libraries, and EPLAN macros supporting hardware and software engineering activities.
/li libAutomation Motion Control: /b programming of automation systems, development of motion control solutions, and use of Rockwell technologies for projects delivered to international customers.
/li /ul pThe successful candidate will work in a technical, multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with software and hardware engineers, automation specialists, Platforming and prototyping teams and—depending on the area of assignment—with customers and production personnel.
/p h3KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 h3Platforming Engineering Tools /h3 ul liDevelop and maintain configurators and applications supporting engineering activities.
/li liCreate and update templates, software libraries, and EPLAN macros.
/li liDevelop C# applications using object-oriented programming principles.
/li liContribute to the standardization and integration of hardware and software engineering processes.
/li liCollaborate with engineering and prototyping teams to gather requirements and improve the tools they use.
/li /ul h3Automation Motion Control /h3 ul liProgram and configure industrial automation systems, primarily using the Rockwell platform.
/li liSupport the development of motion control solutions for industrial machinery and processes.
/li liParticipate in system testing, troubleshooting, validation,



and commissioning activities.
/li liUse the development environments, standards, and tools adopted by the customer.
/li liCollaborate with the customer's technical contacts and production personnel, including at customer and other off-site locations.
/li /ul h3GENERAL REQUIREMENTS /h3 h3Education and Experience /h3 ul liBachelor's or master's degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
/li liPrevious experience in industrial automation, software programming, or electrical design is preferred.
Recent graduates with relevant internship or project experience will also be considered.
/li /ul h3Technical and Language Skills /h3 ul liUnderstanding of the fundamental principles of industrial automation.
/li liKnowledge of software and/or PLC programming fundamentals.
/li liStrong analytical, mathematical, and logical reasoning skills.
/li liExcellent command of English.
/li /ul h3SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS — PLATFORMING ENGINEERING TOOLS /h3 ul liKnowledge of object-oriented programming and C#.
/li liKnowledge of markup and data interchange languages, such as XML and JSON, for managing macros and libraries.
/li liFamiliarity with configurators, templates, and tools used to standardize engineering projects.




/li liKnowledge of version control systems, including Git and Azure DevOps.
/li /ul h3SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS — AUTOMATION MOTION CONTROL /h3 ul liKnowledge of PLC programming and motion control principles, including knowledge gained through academic studies.
/li liKnowledge of Rockwell Automation software development platforms; familiarity with Siemens technologies is a plus.
/li liAbility to understand industrial machinery and manufacturing processes.
/li liCustomer-focused approach and willingness to travel within Italy and internationally.
/li /ul pCandidates are not expected to be familiar with every technology listed above.
