Join the Amazon Leo Satellite Engineering and Mechanicals Development team at the forefront of next-generation satellite design. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, develop, and maintain custom software tools to support various engineering tasks and workflows. /li liCollaborate closely with hardware and systems engineers to understand their needs and requirements. /li liImplement efficient and scalable solutions for data analysis, simulation, and automation /li liOptimize existing tools and processes to improve productivity and efficiency. /li liExperience with systems integration and testing methodologies. /li liDeep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment continuous monitoring. /li liEvangelize engineering excellence best practices and mentor junior engineers. /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 pAs a Software Development Engineer, you will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of critical tools and services that support the entire satellite development lifecycle. Your work will directly impact our ability to scale satellite development efforts efficiently and effectively. /p h3About the team /h3 pThe Leo Space Engineering Applications (LSEA) team specializes in building and maintaining secure engineering solutions that optimize satellite product development processes.
The team combines expertise in Siemens NX/Teamcenter with software engineering capabilities to deliver customized solutions and maintain the Leo Space platform, ensuring seamless integration and efficient workflow management for satellite development. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience /li li2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience /li li1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience /li li1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience /li li1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience /li liBachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field /li liExperience programming with at least one software programming language /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul li3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience /li liBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. /p pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
