ppBBE is seeking an bAssistant Site Manager /b to support management of telecommunications operations and maintenance at NAVSATCOMFAC Lago Patria. The Assistant Site Manager provides daily operational oversight, supervises contractor personnel, and assumes full Site Manager responsibilities during the Site Manager's absence. This position supports mission-critical satellite communications systems serving global U.S. military operations. /p pThe ideal candidate will have experience with operating and maintaining satellite communications systems in Italy. Experience working on OM contracts providing support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and experience performing OM on Teleport Satellite Systems such as VERTEX RSI 9-meter Ku Band Commercial terminals, VERTEX RSI 16.4-meter C-band Commercial terminals, VIASAT RT-1828 UHF radios, or USC-38 NMT AEHF terminals. /p h3Essential Duties and Responsibilities /h3 ul liAssist in supervising daily telecommunications operations and maintenance. /li liAct on behalf of the Site Manager during periods of absence. /li liCoordinate maintenance scheduling, staffing, and mission support activities. /li liSupervise contractor personnel and ensure contract compliance. /li liAssist with implementation of Quality Control and Navy 3M maintenance programs. /li liCoordinate installation, activation, and maintenance of SATCOM systems. /li liSupport execution of Telecommunications Service Orders (TSOs), Telecommunications Service Requests (TSRs), and infrastructure upgrades. /li liAssist with cybersecurity, COMSEC, facility security, and emergency planning. /li liCoordinate with Government representatives regarding operational requirements. /li liReview maintenance documentation, SOPs, reports, and technical procedures. /li liParticipate in operational planning, troubleshooting, and system upgrades. /li liMaintain on-site availability to support Government mission requirements. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMeet DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) qualification requirements. /li liMinimum five (5) months of formal SHF, EHF, or UHF satellite communications training. /li liMinimum five (5) years of satellite earth terminal operations and maintenance experience within the last twelve (12) years.



/li liMinimum four (4) years of supervisory experience managing SHF, EHF, or UHF satellite communications facilities. /li liExperience planning and implementing DISA Telecommunications Service Requests and Telecommunications Service Orders. /li liExperience supporting telecommunications infrastructure installations, wiring, cabling, and configuration changes. /li liActive Secret Security Clearance (minimum). /li liU.S. Citizenship required. /li liStrong leadership, technical troubleshooting, and communication skills. /li /ul h3Physical Requirements: /h3 ul liMust be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, navigate across uneven ground that is common at construction sites and climb for extended periods as well as when traveling to and from job sites /li liMust be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly /li liMust be able to work both indoor/outdoor (with exposure to the elements) /li liMust be able to work in confined spaces and under varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, wind, dust, and noise /li liMust be able to wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, fall protection safety vests and high-visibility reflective safety vests /li liMust have sufficient visual and auditory acuity to perform tasks safely and effectively, including reading instruments, recognizing hazards, and communicating on active construction sites /li liMust be able to drive company or personal vehicles to and from field locations, sometimes multiple times per day, and may be required to work variable shifts depending on project needs /li /ul h3Work Environment:
