ph3Position Summary /h3pThe Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all engineering projects at the Caivano Plant focused on chemical process optimization, cost and energy consumption reduction, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of all manufacturing assets, utilities and infrastructures of the plant. /ppThe Engineering Manager develops capital investment plans aligned with business objectives, driving the execution of all capital projects, asset reliability improvement initiatives and continuous modernization programs of the plant. /ppThe position is accountable for the Energy Management System as plant RSGE, in accordance with ISO 50001 requirements and serves as the Plant Process Safety Coordinator, ensuring the implementation of the PPG Process Safety Management System, fostering a strong safety culture throughout the site. /ppThe Engineering Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and is a key member of the Plant Leadership Team. /ph3Main Accountabilities /h3h3Health, Safety, Environment and Process Safety /h3ulliEnsure full compliance with Company EHS standards, local regulations and applicable legal requirements. /liliLead engineering activities with a strong focus on personnel safety, process safety and environmental protection. /liliEnsure all engineering and maintenance activities are executed according to safe work practices, permit-to-work requirements and contractor management procedures. /liliAct as Plant Process Safety Coordinator and ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of Process Safety Management (PSM) practices. /liliCoordinate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), HAZOP studies and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), for all projects and assets modification activities. /liliMonitor process safety performance indicators and lead initiatives to reduce process safety risks. /liliParticipate proactively in the EHS Leadership Team and contribute to the continuous improvement of EHS performance. /liliManage and govern the Management of Change (MOC) process for technical, organizational and procedural changes. /liliSupport investigation of process safety incidents, near misses and significant events, identifying root causes and corrective actions. /liliManage, in collaboration with local EHS, authorization and permitting processes related to the area of responsibility. /li /ulh3Engineering and Asset Management /h3ulliEnsure safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of plant assets, utilities and infrastructure by proposing and executing complex improvement projects. /liliDevelop and implement asset reliability and lifecycle management strategies. /liliEnsure technical standards, engineering specifications and plant documentation are maintained and continuously updated. /liliSupport production and operations teams by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting capabilities. /liliFollow and implement PPG global standardization strategies, sharing best-practices and collaborating to the technological integration of all PPG facilities. /li /ulh3Capital Projects and Investments /h3ulliDevelop, justify and manage the annual Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) plan. /liliLead engineering projects from concept development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up. /liliEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and according to defined technical specifications. /liliCoordinate internal and external resources, engineering contractors and suppliers. /liliImplement modernization and automation projects to improve operational performance, productivity and sustainability. /liliEnsure all investments comply with PPG engineering standards and applicable regulations.
/li /ulh3Energy Management (ISO 50001) /h3ulliServe as the plant Energy Management Responsible (RSGE) and ensure the effective maintenance of the Energy Management System according to ISO 50001. /liliEstablish, monitor and continuously improve plant energy performance objectives and targets. /liliLead energy reviews, identification of significant energy users and energy performance improvement initiatives. /liliMonitor energy consumption, energy KPIs and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities. /liliPromote energy efficiency projects, optimization of utilities and reduction of energy-related costs. /liliCoordinate internal and external audits related to the Energy Management System. /liliEnsure compliance with applicable energy regulations and corporate sustainability requirements. /liliDrive employee awareness and engagement regarding energy efficiency and responsible energy use. /li /ulh3Quality and Operational Excellence /h3ulliSupport the achievement and maintenance of quality standards for products, processes and utilities. /liliParticipate proactively in the Quality Leadership Team and support continuous quality improvement initiatives. /liliEnsure engineering changes are properly assessed and implemented to maintain product quality and regulatory compliance. /liliSupport Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs. /liliDrive productivity, waste reduction and cost optimization initiatives through engineering solutions. /li /ulh3Budget and Resource Management /h3ulliDevelop and manage the Engineering Department operating budget. /liliControl project expenditures and ensure effective utilization of approved investment funds. /liliBuild organizational capability through coaching, development and performance management of engineering personnel. /li /ulh3Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) /h3ulliZero serious safety and process safety incidents. /liliClosure rate of PHA, HAZOP and MOC action items. /liliCAPEX delivery on time and in budget. /liliEnergy consumption and energy efficiency improvement targets. /liliISO 50001 certification compliance and audit performance. /liliContribution to the reduction of unplanned downtime. /li /ulh3Required Qualifications and Experience /h3ulliDegree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial or equivalent). /liliSignificant experience in engineering, maintenance and project management within a manufacturing or process industry environment, 4-5 years /liliStrong knowledge of Process Safety Management principles, including PHA/HAZOP and MOC processes. /liliKnowledge and practical experience with ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems. /liliExperience managing CAPEX projects and multidisciplinary technical teams. /liliStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. /liliKnowledge of EHS regulations, engineering standards and asset reliability methodologies. /liliProficiency in English and Italian.
