ph3Position Summary /h3 pThe Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all engineering projects at the Caivano Plant focused on chemical process optimization, cost and energy consumption reduction, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of all manufacturing assets, utilities and infrastructures of the plant. /p pThe Engineering Manager develops capital investment plans aligned with business objectives, driving the execution of all capital projects, asset reliability improvement initiatives and continuous modernization programs of the plant. /p pThe position is accountable for the Energy Management System as plant RSGE, in accordance with ISO 50001 requirements and serves as the Plant Process Safety Coordinator, ensuring the implementation of the PPG Process Safety Management System, fostering a strong safety culture throughout the site. /p pThe Engineering Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and is a key member of the Plant Leadership Team. /p h3Main Accountabilities /h3 h3Health, Safety, Environment and Process Safety /h3 ul liEnsure full compliance with Company EHS standards, local regulations and applicable legal requirements. /li liLead engineering activities with a strong focus on personnel safety, process safety and environmental protection. /li liEnsure all engineering and maintenance activities are executed according to safe work practices, permit-to-work requirements and contractor management procedures. /li liAct as Plant Process Safety Coordinator and ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of Process Safety Management (PSM) practices. /li liCoordinate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), HAZOP studies and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), for all projects and assets modification activities. /li liMonitor process safety performance indicators and lead initiatives to reduce process safety risks. /li liParticipate proactively in the EHS Leadership Team and contribute to the continuous improvement of EHS performance. /li liManage and govern the Management of Change (MOC) process for technical, organizational and procedural changes. /li liSupport investigation of process safety incidents, near misses and significant events, identifying root causes and corrective actions. /li liManage, in collaboration with local EHS, authorization and permitting processes related to the area of responsibility. /li /ul h3Engineering and Asset Management /h3 ul liEnsure safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of plant assets, utilities and infrastructure by proposing and executing complex improvement projects. /li liDevelop and implement asset reliability and lifecycle management strategies. /li liEnsure technical standards, engineering specifications and plant documentation are maintained and continuously updated. /li liSupport production and operations teams by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting capabilities. /li liFollow and implement PPG global standardization strategies, sharing best-practices and collaborating to the technological integration of all PPG facilities. /li /ul h3Capital Projects and Investments /h3 ul liDevelop, justify and manage the annual Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) plan. /li liLead engineering projects from concept development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up. /li liEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and according to defined technical specifications. /li liCoordinate internal and external resources, engineering contractors and suppliers. /li liImplement modernization and automation projects to improve operational performance, productivity and sustainability. /li liEnsure all investments comply with PPG engineering standards and applicable regulations. /li /ul h3Energy Management (ISO 50001) /h3 ul liServe as the plant Energy Management Responsible (RSGE)



and ensure the effective maintenance of the Energy Management System according to ISO 50001. /li liEstablish, monitor and continuously improve plant energy performance objectives and targets. /li liLead energy reviews, identification of significant energy users and energy performance improvement initiatives. /li liMonitor energy consumption, energy KPIs and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities. /li liPromote energy efficiency projects, optimization of utilities and reduction of energy-related costs. /li liCoordinate internal and external audits related to the Energy Management System. /li liEnsure compliance with applicable energy regulations and corporate sustainability requirements. /li liDrive employee awareness and engagement regarding energy efficiency and responsible energy use. /li /ul h3Quality and Operational Excellence /h3 ul liSupport the achievement and maintenance of quality standards for products, processes and utilities. /li liParticipate proactively in the Quality Leadership Team and support continuous quality improvement initiatives. /li liEnsure engineering changes are properly assessed and implemented to maintain product quality and regulatory compliance. /li liSupport Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs. /li liDrive productivity, waste reduction and cost optimization initiatives through engineering solutions. /li /ul h3Budget and Resource Management /h3 ul liDevelop and manage the Engineering Department operating budget. /li liControl project expenditures and ensure effective utilization of approved investment funds. /li liBuild organizational capability through coaching, development and performance management of engineering personnel. /li /ul h3Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) /h3 ul liZero serious safety and process safety incidents. /li liClosure rate of PHA, HAZOP and MOC action items. /li liCAPEX delivery on time and in budget. /li liEnergy consumption and energy efficiency improvement targets. /li liISO 50001 certification compliance and audit performance. /li liContribution to the reduction of unplanned downtime. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications And Experience /h3 ul liDegree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial or equivalent). /li liSignificant experience in engineering, maintenance and project management within a manufacturing or process industry environment, 4-5 years /li liStrong knowledge of Process Safety Management principles, including PHA/HAZOP and MOC processes. /li liKnowledge and practical experience with ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems. /li liExperience managing CAPEX projects and multidisciplinary technical teams. /li liStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. /li liKnowledge of EHS regulations, engineering standards and asset reliability methodologies. /li liProficiency in English and Italian. /li /ul h3Key Interfaces /h3 h3Internal /h3 ul liPlant Manager /li liOperations Manager /li liEHS Manager /li liQuality Manager /li liSupply Chain and Production Teams /li liCorporate Engineering /li liCorporate Sustainability and Energy Teams /li /ul h3External /h3 ul liEngineering Contractors /li liEquipment Suppliers /li liRegulatory Authorities /li liEnergy Service Providers /li liCertification Bodies and Auditors /li /ul pThe base salary range for this position is 60.000 eur to 68.000 eur per year,
