Our historic Hotel, with its Michelin-starred Italian restaurant and a locally inspired Spa where you can spend afternoons in pure indulgence, is just steps away from the cultural heart of Florence. /p h3About The Role /h3 pThe Overnight Cook prepares and serves food items for guests and employee during the overnight shift in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. /p h3What You Will Do /h3 ul liPrepare and serve food of consistent quality following recipe cards as well as production, portion, and presentation standards per order from servers; often working alone or without direct supervision. /li liStart food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not prepare beyond estimated needs. /li liOperate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill.



/li liDate all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables; assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per policies. /li liAssist with prep-work for next shift and with cleaning operations of the kitchen and storage areas. /li liAssist with food preparation in other kitchen areas when needed /li /ul h3What You Bring /h3 ul liCooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience. /li liA minimum of two years culinary experience. /li liAbility to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill. Proficient knife skills and ability to multi-task. /li liReading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian language.
