ph3Job Description /h3 pJapanese company specializing in industrial machinery and equipment is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to support installation, commissioning, training, and after‑sales service of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at a customer site in Italy. /p pRequired experience: mechanical engineering within the electronics or semiconductor industry; strong problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently while cooperating with other engineers and liaising with customers. /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 ul liInstall and commission semiconductor manufacturing equipment supplied by a Chinese manufacturer. /li liProvide operational training and technical support to customers. /li liPerform troubleshooting, maintenance, and after‑sales service activities. /li liLiaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding technical issues. /li liSupport equipment performance optimisation and problem resolution. /li liPrepare service reports and technical documentation as required. /li liCollaborate with supplier engineers during installation and support activities.



/li /ul h3Ideal Candidate /h3 ul li5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer within the semiconductor industry. /li liStrong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills. /li liAbility to work independently and manage customer‑facing technical support activities. /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. /li liWillingness to travel internationally for training and project support. /li liBusiness level fluency (C1) in both English and Italian. /li /ul h3Contract Details /h3 pType: Fixed‑term Contract / Contractor (approximately 2 years, negotiable). Working hours: 9:00‑17:30 Monday to Friday. Salary: €40‑50k, depending on experience. Start: ASAP. Travel: Initial business trip to China for equipment training, with additional travel as required. Location: Catania, Italy (Customer Site) or Home‑Based.
