You’ll collaborate across teams and showcase your organization and strategic planning skills to monitor inventory, manage delivery scheduling, negotiate with suppliers, and procure essential items that transform possibilities into realities for our customers and teams. /ppWe are looking for a highly motivated and talented Buyer to join our Purchasing Team and support both New Product Introduction (NPI) and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships,
securing material availability, driving cost competitiveness, and supporting negotiation activities across a global supply base. /ph3Role Responsibilities: /h3ulliEnsure continuity of supply to support manufacturing requirements while meeting quality, delivery, and cost objectives. /liliManage purchase orders, monitor supplier deliveries, resolve receiving and invoicing issues, and maintain compliance with established purchasing processes. /liliProactively drive supplier performance to ensure on‑time delivery of parts and materials to Applied Materials manufacturing sites. /liliPartner closely with suppliers on demand and supply planning activities, including pull‑in and push‑out execution to support changing business requirements. /liliDrive inventory optimization initiatives, including excess and obsolete (EO) inventory reduction. /liliLead RFQ activities and execute sourcing strategies to achieve competitive pricing, while balancing quality, supplier capability, lead time, and risk considerations. /liliSupport and participate in commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost, lead‑time, and operational improvements. /liliCollaborate with Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Program Management teams to resolve supply chain challenges and support business objectives. /liliMonitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to mitigate supply risks and improve operational execution. /li /ulh3Minimum Qualifications: /h3ulliBachelor's Degree /lili5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Supplier Management.
/liliExperience managing suppliers in a manufacturing environment. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications: /h3ulliStrong negotiation, supplier management, and relationship‑building skills. /liliSelf‑starter who can work independently while effectively collaborating within cross‑functional teams. /liliExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. /liliCan participate in most work‑related discussions and explain opinions in English in simple terms. /liliExperience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. /liliKnowledge of Build‑to‑Print components, including CNC machined parts, fabricated parts, mechanical assemblies, and precision manufacturing processes. /liliExperience sourcing electromechanical products such as controllers, robots, sensors, actuators, and electronic assemblies is highly desirable. /liliSAP knowledge and experience with ERP procurement systems preferred. /li /ulh3Additional Information /h3h3Time Type: /h3pFull time /ph3Employee Type: /h3pAssignee / Regular /ph3Travel: /h3pYes, 10% of the Time /ph3Relocation Eligible: /h3pNo /ppThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
