**Job Description Summary**: As Facilities & Maintenance Manager you will join the Brindisi Plant Management Team, leading the plant’s facilities and maintenance function to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations across buildings, utilities infrastructure, production assets, and site services while optimizing operational cost. You will own preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, budget management, contractor oversight, and continuous improvement to deliver measurable performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). **Essential Responsibilities**: - **Safety & Compliance**: Ensure site compliance with EHS requirements; manage permits, inspections, audit and corrective actions; champion LOTO, machine guarding, confined space, and electrical safety; lead incident investigations and root cause analysis. Ensure that all compliance standards are maintained, and regulatory maintenance is executed.
- **Maintenance Strategy**:Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs (PM/ PdM) from concept to completion to reduce equipment breakdowns; maintain critical spares strategy; manage asset lifecycle planning, equipment availability improvements, and uptime targets.
- **Facilities Management**:Oversee building/grounds, utilities (HVAC, compressed air, water, waste water treatment, thermal and electrical power), and site services; manage cleaning, landscaping, waste/recycling, and space planning.
- **Utilities & Energy**: Monitor and optimize energy usage; lead utility cost reduction, demand management, and sustainability initiatives; coordinate shutdowns and start-ups safely and efficiently; promote and implement energy cost saving projects
- **Work Planning & Execution**: Lead planning and scheduling (weekly work plans, backlog control); manage work orders, PM compliance,



and execution quality.
- **Budget & Cost Control**: Forecast and manage OPEX/CAPEX budgets and monitor throughout the year (OCPH & CAR).; track spend against plan; develop business cases for upgrades; support technical negotiation of vendor contracts; drive maintenance costs per asset while sustaining availability.
- **Contractors & Vendors Management**: source, qualify, and manage service providers; enforce safety and quality standards; coordinate onsite work permits and supervision; ensure on-time delivery of services. **Asset Data & Documentation**: maintain accurate asset registry, drawings, SOPs, PM task lists, and compliance records; ensure CMMS data integrity and reporting.
- **People Leadership**:lead and develop the facility & maintenance team setting specific goals, coach performance, build skills (electrical, mechanical, controls, HVAC), and foster a safety-first, customer-driven culture.
- **Stakeholder Support**: partner with Operations and Quality for planned outages, new equipment installation, and process changes; support NPI and capacity expansions; communicate status, risks, and recovery plans. Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.



Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. **Qualifications/Requirements**: - Master’s degree in engineering or related field, or bachelor’s degree with previuos experience
- Proven solid experience in Facilities Management in a complex plant environment and in a matrix organization
- CMMS (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM, etc.), MS Office/Excel, maintenance planning & scheduling, reliability analytics, contractor management
- Experience with TPM, Kaizen, RCA, and condition-based maintenance; demonstrated use of KPIs to drive performance
- Knowledge of business financials
- Strong knowledge of Italian Safety Law and local codes, environmental regulations; permit-to-work and LOTO expertise
- Leadership and influencing skills: communication, problem-solving, negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, prioritization, and time management.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Build good relationship with external stakeholders such as Arpa, Asi, Municipality and Province.
- Ability to handle diverse activities/projects simultaneously.
- English and Italian fluent.
