Job Title: Culinary Coordinator Intern
Department: Kitchen
Reports to: Executive Chef

JOB OVERVIEW:

Basic Requirements

Education:

1. Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Excellent command of the English language.
3. A specialization course or Master’s Degree is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

The Intern will be assigned to the Kitchen Department and will gain a comprehensive understanding of department management through the following activities:

1. Menu engineering and optimization.
2. Analysis and evaluation of food costs.
3. Preparation of weekly schedules for the kitchen and stewarding departments.
4. Kitchen staff management, including task coordination and vacation planning.
5. Management of departmental correspondence and the Executive Chef’s schedule and commitments.
6. Support in the recruitment and selection process for kitchen positions in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.
7. Assistance to the Executive Chef during job interviews.
8. Support to the Human Resources Department in organizing training and development activities.
9. Creation and implementation of a database management system for kitchen employees.

Throughout this internship experience, the Intern will develop a diverse set of skills.



They will learn to be proactive, efficient, and responsive to the department’s needs, including handling last-minute requests when necessary. The trainee will also strengthen their organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

1. Polite, responsible, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
2. Accurate, detail-oriented, and decisive.
3. Strong team-working skills.
4. Excellent problem-solving attitude.
5. Flexibility regarding working hours.
6. Strong collaborative mindset.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
