Experteer Overview As Legal Counsel for the Italian branch, you own the legal aspects of the local market and support product launches, customer documentation, and regulatory interactions. You will collaborate with the Italian branch managers and the group legal team in Germany to ensure compliance and sound governance. You’ll advise on financial regulations, corporate law, data protection, and employment law, while drafting key customer and partner agreements. This role offers impact across product launches, regulator engagement, and cross-border regulatory projects within a fast-growing fintech environment. Retribuzione / Benefits Provide legal advice on financial regulations, corporate law, data protection, tax law, and employment law in Italy Draft and own customer-facing documents for Italy Lead legal research and drafting for new products (e.g., credit and credit cards) end-to-end Interact with regulators and external institutions; handle regulatory reports and authority requests Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, partners, and suppliers Act as primary liaison with external legal advisors and law firms Manage complaints and contentious cases (ABF/ACF, inheritance,
garnishment, insolvency) and explore out-of-court resolutions Support internal teams in setting up Italian market processes in line with local regulations Advise on branch governance, policies, and implementation of Mi FID II, PSD II, CCD II, transparency and consumer protection requirements Responsabilità Law degree Substantial experience in a top-tier law firm, fintech/startup, or financial services In-depth knowledge of Italian and European financial services regulations Ability to navigate complex legal environments and provide strategic guidance Experience working in fast-paced, multicultural settings Fintech exposure with familiarity of business models Experience interacting with financial services regulators is desirable Independent work style with high attention to detail Full professional fluency in Italian and English Requisiti fondamentali attractive compensation package education budget opportunity to work from abroad latest hardware and tools international, diverse team in-house knowledge sharing sessions #J-18808-Ljbffr
