JOB TITLE PURPOSE OF THE JOB Job Title : Special Process Expert Job Code : IN-IC-01_006 Purpose of the job: To coordinate the industrial control of the Special Processes (SP) during tender phase, product development, industrialization, manufacturing, warranty and maintenance To support technology and activity transfers In this respect the person in charge complies with Ethics and Compliance policies POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION Organization structure: Industrial Operation / Signalling Reports directly to: Site Special Process Manager or Regional Center Industrialization Manager Other reporting to: PIM (Product Industrial Manager) or PrIDM (Project Industrial Manager) Direct reports: 0 Network Links Position title of connected positions / functional report Internal Tender: Bid Technical manager Engineering: Design Engineer Industrialization: Industrialization Engineer / Method engineer / PIM Quality: Industrial Quality / SPQD/ SQA Supply Chain: Logistics Engineer Sourcing: Buyer / Sub-contractors EHS team Central (HQ): Special process experts network and Central Coordinator SQD: support under governance of central coordinator External Local suppliers Standards committee ( unless responsibility is exclusively devoted to the central coordinator) ACCOUNTABILITIES AUTHORITIES Activities by step of the industrial process Tender: Contribute to tender phase, especially in product design and industrialization to take into account industrial constraints and requirements in order to optimize costs and minimize risks when needed Concurrent Engineering: Contributes during specification and design phases to technical solution decisions associated to special processes Build the SP REX and interact with product engineering to redirect the design if necessary Industrialization: Manage industrial risk through Process FMEA and associated improvement action plan.
Foster generic FMEA for standard manufacturing process (e.g. electronics products) Define requirements and rules (Design For Manufacturing) for associated tooling necessary to start production Qualify the product/process pair as well as industrial means to be put in place in line with the design Support sourcing and SQD teams in the suppliers' qualification and in quality follow up for suppliers concerned by SP.
Contribute to development of suppliers Manage evolution of quality control process dedicated to SP Ensure deployment and validation of new processes in line with product / project planning Issue relevant documents in the Quality System Manages technicians that are eventually under his / her responsibility Support Transfer of Technology on SP: documentation, process and means validation, training Complies with EHS Alstom and external standards Transmission: Train the workers and EPU managers to execute SP Ensure continuous training and permanent qualification of the workers to SP Train support functions to business rules linked to SP (Engineering, PME, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality) Develop SP expert /specialist on new geographic area through Alstom SP qualification plan Execution / Serial manufacturing: Guarantees internal control and good application of process rules in line with customers' requirements Performs internal and external audits Ensure day to day monitoring of SP business rules and solve issues concerning SP.
In case of non-conformity or incident, investigate root causes, finds and implement repair solutions.
Demonstrate QCD and EHS improvement linked to SP through efficient action plans.
Measure performance linked with site industrial objectives and through APSYS audit for instance.
Support Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams during quality crisis Transverse:
Participate to meetings and working groups of the SP network Propose improvement ideas and evolution of the business rules of their domain Key Job Authorities and Dimensions: (Expenditure/Hiring authorities, total budget resp., team size; etc.): In case of major SP quality crisis (major technical risk, safety or financial), the expert must provide to the project manager, factually, a clear problem analysis (root causes, associated risks) and the options to exit the crisis, to enable him taking serenely position He / She has the duty to control his / her external communication (written and oral) as it engages the responsibility of AT towards third parties Performance measurements: (OTD, QCD, Sales, PMC, Orders, Gross margin, etc.) Manufacturing and Quality documents are available in due time and to the good quality level Qualification reports of operating modes are issued in line with the schedule Zero non-conformity during internal or external audits Level of deployment of SP standards rules Contribution to site industrial QCD targets Reactivity and consistency during expertise during defect or incident FAR/FAI/ FMR/SMR validated for all installations involving SP and flagged as "technical or industrial risk" EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements: Describe the minimum educational requirement/level Mandatory: Engineering degree in process engineering, electronics, electrical, mechanical or chemical Desirable: Training and Qualification by a third party for SP if needed (e.g. welding) Experience: Describe the knowledge and experience required for this role Mandatory: 2 to 5 years' experience in industrial method Practice the concerned special process from 2 to 5 years (execution, definition, qualification) Knowledgeable of main SAP T-Codes for Industrial management Competencies Skills Autonomous, rigorous, good communication Good teaching skills (able to provide training to a group of trainees) Innovative, participative in business workgroups Able to read, write and speak English Location: Lecco (LC) Salary Range ******€ - ******€ CCNL (Contratto Collettivo Nazionale del Lavoro) applied: Metalmeccanici Industria An agile, inclusive and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advance in their careers.
