Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. We operate in a project‐driven aerospace manufacturing environment, scaling rapidly across multiple countries, legal entities, and programmes. Reliable, well‐governed financial systems are critical to enabling growth while maintaining control, credibility, and auditability. About The Role We are looking for a Financial Systems Business Partner to act as the functional owner of financial system automation and master data governance, with Odoo as the financial backbone. You will sit at the intersection of Finance, Engineering, and Enterprise Systems, translating financial control needs into scalable system solutions. You will design, improve, and help operate financial processes across projects, departments, and legal entities. This is a hands‐on role: you will configure, analyse, challenge, automate, and continuously improve how financial data flows through the organisation. Key Responsibilities Act as Finance's primary system counterpart for Odoo and adjacent financial toolingA custodian of finance‐related master data, ensuring consistency, quality and traceabilityDesign and continuously improve financial workflows across:TreasuryFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)Accounting and controllingIdentify manual, fragile, or inconsistent processes and drive automation and standardisationEnsure master data structures support project‐based, multi‐entity operationsHelp define and enforce ownership, change processes, and controls for financial reference dataSupport integrations, upgrades,



and other digitalisation initiatives in the finance domain Required Qualifications Hands‐on experience with ERP systems (Odoo not required, but strongly desirable)Proven experience with financial systems, controlling, or finance transformationStrong understanding of financial workflows across multiple disciplines and domainsStrong analytical skills; comfortable working with complex, multi‐dimensional and evolving datasetsCritical thinker & strong communicator Nice to Have Background in finance transformation, consulting, or systems implementationExperience in manufacturing, aerospace, or other high‐reliability industriesExposure to BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Metabase, Tableau or similar)Experience in multi‐entity, multi‐currency, multi‐country environmentsTechnical proficiency with SQL and data modeling, and proficiency with at least one general purpose programming language. During the interview process, candidates will be asked to present a case study on designing a multi-entity financial architecture & workflows in Odoo — covering budgeting, manufacturing costing, cashflow planning, and banking orchestration for a high-growth aerospace environment. We run a mature Odoo implementation; this role is about scaling and optimisation, not building from scratch.
