We are looking for a Data Governance Specialist. This is a hands-on implementation role within a small, senior data governance team at a major OEM, embedding governance into the tools, processes, and daily practices that keep connected-vehicle data compliant, secure, and traceable.Engagement details:Location: Turin, ItalyWorking model: HybridStart date: ASAPEmployment type: Direct hire, permanentResponsibilities:Implement and operationalize data governance policies, standards, and procedures across data domainsOnboard data producers and consumers to governance processes - use case declaration (CbD workflow), data stewardship model, metadata standardsMaintain and evolve the data governance framework in Collibra (or equivalent catalogue tool) - business glossary, data ownership assignments, policy documentationSupport deployment of the data stewardship model - identify domain data owners, run onboarding sessions, track stewardship coverageCoordinate with Legal & Compliance and Privacy/DPO teams to translate regulatory requirements (GDPR, Data Act, AI Act) into actionable governance rulesMonitor governance KPIs - stewardship coverage, use case registration rate,



PDT compliance rate and report on progressContribute to the Data Dictionary and Data Sharing Playbook initiatives as a key implementerAct as a governance advisor and point of contact for operational teams needing guidance on data usage, classification, or complianceQualifications:5 to 8 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a closely related fieldHands-on experience implementing data governance frameworks in a large, complex organizationFamiliarity with data catalogue tools - Collibra, Alation, or equivalentGood working knowledge of GDPR, Data Act, and data compliance requirements and their practical implicationsStrong ability to translate policy into operational practice - bridging strategy and day-to-day executionExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills - ability to drive adoption without authorityExperience working in agile, cross-functional environmentsNice to have:Databricks or cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), automotive/connected vehicle/IoT data experience, knowledge of data stewardship models, and understanding of metadata standardsNext steps:Press "Apply"We will review your applicationIf qualified, you will be accepted into the network and can be considered for this and similar positions & projects
