Environment, Health & Safety Manager (RSPP) – Multi-SiteOn behalf of a leading multinational industrial group, we are looking for an Area Environment, Health & Safety Manager (RSPP) who will lead the Environment, Health & Safety strategy and programs across an international manufacturing footprint.Reporting directly to the Regional Manufacturing Director and functionally to the Global Executive HSE, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving the organization's safety culture, enhancing EHS performance, and ensuring full regulatory compliance across manufacturing sites in Italy and abroad. The position will work closely with both local and international leadership teams.This is a highly visible leadership opportunity, ideal for professionals who want to make a tangible impact on the strategic direction of a global manufacturing organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine, implement and continuously develop the Environment, Health & Safety strategy across the assigned manufacturing sites.Ensure full compliance with applicable national and European regulations relating to health, safety, environmental protection and risk management.Serve as the appointed RSPP (Health & Safety Prevention and Protection Service Manager) in accordance with Italian legislation.Support Plant Managers and site leadership teams in identifying operational risks and developing effective improvement plans.Coordinate internal audits, compliance assessments and regulatory inspections.Manage non-compliance issues by defining, implementing and monitoring corrective action plans.Promote a proactive safety culture through training, awareness initiatives and capability development.Ensure the effectiveness and continuous improvement of certified management systems,
including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.Drive the implementation and sharing of EHS best practices and standardized procedures across multiple manufacturing locations.Partner with Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, Finance and other business functions to integrate EHS principles into operational and investment decisions.Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities, certification bodies and external stakeholders.Support EHS capital investment planning by contributing to budget preparation and project prioritization.Monitor EHS performance through KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management.Provide functional leadership to local EHS professionals across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency in standards, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.Candidate ProfileWe are seeking an experienced EHS professional with a proven track record in complex multinational industrial environments, combining strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and strategic vision.RequirementsDegree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, Prevention Techniques,
or another relevant scientific or technical discipline.Qualification to act as RSPP under Italian legislation.At least 7–10 years' experience in senior EHS leadership roles within structured manufacturing organizations.Proven experience managing EHS activities across multiple manufacturing sites.Strong knowledge of Italian and European health, safety and environmental legislation.Experience implementing and managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.Extensive experience conducting internal audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.Professional proficiency in English.Availability to travel frequently across Italy and internationally (approximately 50% of working time).Preferred QualificationsExperience within multinational organizations with mature EHS management systems.Experience leading cultural transformation and behavioural safety initiatives.Knowledge of key environmental topics, including industrial emissions, waste management, water management, hazardous chemicals and environmental sustainability.Experience managing relationships with regulatory authorities, certification bodies and government agencies.Personal SkillsStrong leadership and the ability to influence complex organizations.Results-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.Strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work effectively within international and multicultural environments.High level of autonomy and accountability.Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.Compensation & BenefitsCompensation: Base salary in the range of €80,000–€100,000, plus annual performance bonus.Benefits: No company car or additional fringe benefits.Location: Province of Milan, Italy.Lavoro da remoto: Up to three days per week.
