We are seeking a Remote Sensing Specialist with deep expertise in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Payload Data Analysis to join our growing and dynamic team. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in advancing our capabilities in SAR data processing and geospatial analytics. Your expertise will directly impact our advanced SAR-based services, supporting R&D; initiatives and product development in the field of Earth Observation and satellite technologies. **Tasks**: - Collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and SAR teams to define use cases and datasets for AI-driven SAR analysis (ML knowledge not required initially).
- Manage and handle large datasets, ensuring efficient data preprocessing and analysis, storage.
- Process, analyze, and visualize SAR data, generating detailed reports, maps, and presentations for various stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes, emphasizing accurate data handling, technical excellence, and adherence to deadlines.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in SAR data processing, machine learning, and deep learning technologies, promoting continuous learning within the team.
**Requirements**: - Master’s degree (or higher) in Remote Sensing, Geomatics, Geophysics, Earth Observation, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in **SAR data processing**, including interferometry, polarimetry.
- Solid understanding of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) operations, including data collection, processing, and interpretation.
- Experience with tools and platforms for SAR data handling.
- Familiarity with GIS tools and geospatial data visualization (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with EO data analyses.
- Knowledge of GIS and EO concepts, including data management, projections, and visualization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a strong commitment to goals, quality, and a positive attitude toward growth and change. **Preferred Experience**: - Proven track record in key technical or lead roles in R&D; projects, particularly in innovative or cutting-edge technology environments.
- Experience in remote sensing, earth observation, and satellite data analysis,
including expertise in processing imagery payload data and on-board data processing from cameras and various sensors.
- (Nice-to-have) Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
- (Nice-to-have) Understanding of MLOps tools and deployment concepts.
