ph3Global SCM Material Sustainability Lead (f/m/d) /h3pHitachi Energy is seeking a Global SCM Material Sustainability Lead for the Business Unit Transformers to join our innovative and forward-thinking team.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end management of the Material Sustainability pillar, aligning methodologies for environmental impact assessments, defining processes, implementing initiatives, and monitoring progress across the business unit.

/liliMonitor sustainability trends, regulations, and customer requirements, integrating them into plans and processes.
/liliStandardize material sustainability processes and ensure effective implementation across the supply chain.
/liliLead sustainability improvement initiatives, including decarbonization and supplier engagement.
/liliTrack sustainability performance and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
/liliDevelop and maintain material sustainability data, enabling consistent LCA, EPD, and PCF assessments.
/liliPartner with suppliers and stakeholders to advance emission reduction and sustainable practices.
/liliDeliver training and promote best practices across the SCM community.
/liliAlign and apply methodologies for assessing material environmental impacts in line with evolving standards.
/liliSupport supplier requirements, material selection, environmental claims, and customer sustainability requests /li /ulpbYour background /b /pulliDegree in Environmental Science,



Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
/liliMinimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management with focus on sustainability, with proven leadership in strategy and roadmap creation, preferably within global or large-scale organizations.
/liliStrong expertise in materials sustainability standards such as ISO ***********, ISO *****, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, and related frameworks.
/liliExtensive experience with Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), and implementing global sustainability programs related to materials and suppliers.
/liliStrong leadership skills with a track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives in complex, international environments.
/liliExcellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and inspire change at all organization levels.

starting from 62,200 EUR gross annual salary /ppThe final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
