Overview
Custodial Worker NA‑02 position located at USAG Italy – MWR, Ederle Inn, Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy. Full‑time on‑site role with training and career growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Clean rooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, strip, and polish using light and heavy duty powered equipment.
- Operate industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, and other fabrics.
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment.
- Clean, disinfect, and deodorize toilet facilities.
- Dust assigned areas.
- Empty trash.
- Make beds and change linen as required.
- Wash walls, windows, blinds, and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds, and safety belts.
- Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability to use and maintain cleaning tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and read signs.
- Basic knowledge of common cleaning solvents, tools, and equipment.
- Knowledge of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions and methods for removing a variety of stains.
- Ability to troubleshoot, make adjustments, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Resume must clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Requirements
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 20–40 lbs, with occasional lifting over 50 lbs.
- Work indoors with adequate heat, light,
and ventilation.
- Use protective gear, avoid serious injury on ladders and while moving heavy furniture or using equipment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Meet background‑investigation eligibility; may need a Tier1 background investigation for physical access.
- Direct deposit and Social Security card required.
- One‑year probationary period may apply.
- Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a MissionSoggiorno.
Location & Compensation
Vicenza, Italy. Pay scale: $17.78 – $20.75 per hour (step01). Intermittent schedule with flex‑0 and flex‑20 options may require up to 20 hours per week. No remote work available.
