We are currently looking for a Technical Safety Senior Engineer to join our Engineering team and contribute to challenging Oil & Gas projects in an international environment.
Your responsibilities
As a Technical Safety Senior Engineer, you will:
- Perform Technical Safety Engineering activities for onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Carry out risk assessments including HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, LOPA, SIL, FERA, EERA and SIMOPS .
- Develop and review fire protection philosophies and fire & gas detection systems.
- Prepare and review Technical Safety engineering documentation, including design basis, calculations, specifications and reports.
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and safety audits.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with international safety standards and project specifications.
- Support multiple engineering projects simultaneously while proactively identifying technical risks and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Safety or related Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in Technical Safety Engineering within Oil & Gas projects (Onshore and Offshore).
- Strong knowledge of:
- HAZOP
- HAZID
- QRA
- LOPA
- SIL
- Fire Protection Engineering
- Safety Critical Elements (SCE)
- Experience with engineering software such as DNV PHAST, PHAWorks, DsPED , AutoCAD or similar.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work in Rome.

- Experience in international EPC projects.
- Previous experience with major Oil & Gas operators or EPC contractors.
