ppWe are looking for a Communication Support for the Artemis III Mission to complete our consultants Workforce Management Service to support the ESA Communication, Outreach and Media Relations Department of the European Space Agency (ESA) at their location in Frascati, Italy.
The successful candidate shall act as the Mission Communication Coordinator and principal point of contact for the mission, ensuring coordination between the astronaut, ESA communication offices, HRE stakeholders, national partners, media stakeholders and relevant internal and external parties.
/p pbPlease note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries).
Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage).

/b /p pThe successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: /p ul liMission Communication Planning: ul liDevelop, maintain and update the Artemis III Mission Communication Plan; /li liDefine mission communication objectives, audiences, key messages and communication priorities; /li liCoordinate mission communication planning across all mission phases; /li liMaintain and update the integrated communication calendar.
/li /ul /li liAstronaut Communication Coordination: ul liAct as ESA's primary communications point of contact for the astronaut; /li liCoordinate all communication requests requiring astronaut participation; /li liPrioritise communication activities based on operational constraints and mission priorities; /li liCoordinate reviews and approvals of messaging,
public statements, scripts and communication products involving the astronaut.
/li /ul /li liMedia Relations Coordination: ul liCoordinate astronaut interview opportunities; /li liSupport media planning and prioritization; /li liCoordinate mission-related press conferences and media events; /li liManage communication aspects of major mission milestones.
/li /ul /li liStakeholder Coordination: Coordinate communication activities between: ul liESA Headquarters; /li liEAC; /li liHRE stakeholders; /li liNational space agencies (specifically ASI in this case); /li liCommunication service providers; /li liMedia relations teams; /li liInternal communication teams.
/li /ul /li liMission Event Coordination: Coordinate communication planning for: ul liLaunch; /li liMajor mission milestones; /li liIn-flight communication events; /li liInstitutional visits; /li liPublic engagement activities; /li liLanding and post-flight activities.
/li /ul /li /ul ul liBSc or MSc in communication, marketing, media related disciplines; /li liAt least 7 years of relevant work experience; /li liAt least 5 years of hands?on experience running social media and creating digital content for an organisation with a significant public presence, preferably in the space field; /li liAt least 5 years of experience using video, audio, and other multimedia elements on social media; /li liExperience with photo and video editing tools, such as Adobe PhotoShop, Final Cut, or Adobe Premiere, as well as social?only tools for GIFs,
etc; /li liExperience in an intergovernmental institution; /li liA good knowledge of the Italian media landscape; /li liStrong communication and editing skills with a flair for storytelling; /li liUnderstanding of what it takes to execute social media strategy within the wider framework of a corporate communications strategy; /li liHigh proficiency with modern electronics office automation tools, in particular Microsoft Office suite and electronic mailing; /li liAbility to communicate with industry counterparts in the execution of the project?specific tasks; /li liAbility to work under pressure and with tight deadlines, as part of a social media team; /li liCapacity to identify priority actions and handle high workloads; /li liEasy contact with personnel and well?balanced autonomy in the execution of the requested tasks; /li liHigh level of flexibility as well as initiative and team spirit; /li liRigor, commitment, and reliability in the execution of the assigned tasks; /li liFamiliarity with ESA working environment in a similar position is a distinct advantage; /li liExperience in the use of AI, specifically Copilot, is considered an asset; /li liFluency in English, both written and spoken; /li liFluency in Italian, both written and spoken; /li liKnowledge of another official ESA language is an asset; /li liCandidates must be eligible to work in the EU.
/li /ul pbThe salary range advertised reflects our initial expectations for the role and our internal salary scheme.
