About the role:
We are looking for a Red X Problem Solving Expert to join our global engineering organization and become the technical reference for complex manufacturing and quality challenges across our operations worldwide.
In this highly visible role, you will lead high-impact investigations, identify the dominant causes of variation, and drive sustainable improvements using the renowned Shainin Red X® methodology and advanced statistical tools.

Responsibilities:
As a Red X Problem Solving Expert, you will:
- Lead complex root cause investigations utilizing Shainin Red X® methodology.
- Drive breakthrough solutions for chronic manufacturing and quality issues.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving activities across global production facilities.
- Apply advanced statistical methods including DOE, Regression Analysis, Process Capability Analysis, and Minitab.
- Identify dominant sources of variation and process instability.
- Conduct failure analysis of components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
- Support critical customer escalations and major quality incidents.
- Coach and develop engineers, quality professionals, and plant teams in structured problem-solving techniques.
- Standardize and promote best-in-class problem-solving methodologies across the organization.
- Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D;, Operations, and Supplier Quality teams.
- Support new product launches through proactive identification and mitigation of process risks.
- Present technical findings, recommendations, and project results to senior leadership and customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Required Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in automotive or manufacturing environments.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience applying the Shainin Red X® problem-solving methodology.
- Certified Shainin Red X® Practitioner.
Technical Expertise
- Deep expertise in Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Advanced statistical analysis skills using Minitab or equivalent tools.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, process capability, and variation reduction.
- Strong experience leading complex cross-functional technical investigations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification.
- Experience in Tier 1 automotive manufacturing.
- Knowledge of high-volume assembly processes.

Global Travel Requirement
This is a highly visible global role requiring frequent international travel. The Red X Problem Solving Expert will regularly work directly in our manufacturing plants across Mexico, USA, Poland, India, China, and Brazil, leading complex investigations, coaching local teams, and driving sustainable solutions to critical manufacturing and quality issues.
