Product Specialist-Motion & Automation (Machinery)
In this role you support the Product Management team for ABB's Motion portfolio, focusing on Drives, Servo Systems and Controllers for the Machinery segment. You collaborate with global factories and local sales to shape product requirements, drive launches, pricing and profitability, and ensure market-fit solutions. You will help develop the portfolio, provide training to partners and customers, and feed market insights to the organization. This role offers cross-functional impact in a global, hybrid setting.

- Manage technical specifications and product positioning to support portfolio development, launches, maintenance, pricing and profitability
- Grow the assigned product portfolio by aligning with sales and Business Developers to meet customer needs in Machinery
- Support OEMs and machine builders in selecting suitable motion control solutions
- Oversee market introduction and lifecycle of new products, options, and software features
- Provide training on products and solutions to internal teams, partners and customers
- Collaborate with factories to ensure market-aligned products and share trend feedback
- Prepare and update price lists to stay competitive
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis and communicate findings to sales
- Explore new growth opportunities in machine automation and digitalization
- Be the reference point for sales on complex application cases
- Keep sales informed about new products, applications, and best practices
- Experience in product management, technical sales or application engineering xysqume of industrial automation products
- Strong knowledge of Variable Speed Drives, Servo Systems, Motion Controllers with 7-10 years in automation
- Solid understanding of OEM machinery applications and machine-building processes
- Experience with automation applications in packaging, material handling, plastics, metalworking
- Strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Customer-oriented, proactive with ability to balance technical and commercial priorities
- Proficient in Italian and English, written and spoken
