Join our diverse team to contribute to projects that positively impact communities across Europe. /p h3Tasks /h3 pAs Project Manager BESS, you will lead and coordinate Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Italy throughout the entire project lifecycle, from early‑stage opportunity assessment and project acquisition through development, permitting, construction, and commissioning. /p pYou will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and advancing attractive BESS opportunities while ensuring technical, commercial, regulatory, and financial viability. Working closely with internal development, engineering, commercial, legal, and external stakeholders, you will contribute to building a high‑quality and profitable project pipeline in the respective market. /p bKey Responsibilities: /b ul liLead and manage BESS projects throughout all development stages, from project inception or acquisition to commercial operation. /li liCoordinate and steer project development activities in accordance with country‑specific regulations, permitting requirements, and market conditions. /li liEvaluate greenfield and acquisition opportunities, including technical, regulatory, commercial, and financial due diligence. /li liManage relationships with landowners, authorities, grid operators, consultants, and other key stakeholders. /li liSupport and coordinate permitting processes and ensure compliance with applicable national and local regulations. /li liCollaborate with the Engineering team to develop optimal BESS system configurations based on country‑specific revenue opportunities and market requirements.



/li liMonitor and assess developments in local energy storage markets, revenue streams, capacity mechanisms, ancillary services, and regulatory frameworks for optimisation of the relevant business case. /li liIdentify and assess relevant tender programmes, subsidy schemes, and funding opportunities. /li liCoordinate internal and external advisors, including technical, legal, environmental, tax, and insurance. /li liBe able to negotiate with grid operators for the most favourable grid connection conditions to optimise the revenue streams. /li liBuild up and maintain a network to utilities, grid operators, off‑takers and service providers. /li liPrepare project reports, development budgets, schedules, and management presentations. /li liSupport project handover to construction and ensure a smooth transition into the execution phase. /li liContribute to continuous improvement of project development and project management processes. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liUniversity degree (Bachelor's or Master’s) in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Economics, Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. /li liMinimum 3–5 years of professional experience in renewable energy or energy storage project development and/or project management. /li liStrong knowledge of BESS project development processes in Italy. /li liGood understanding of permitting procedures and construction‑related regulations in the respective country. /li liExperience managing complex development projects involving multiple stakeholders. /li liUnderstanding of electricity markets and BESS revenue streams (capacity markets,



balancing services, ancillary services, wholesale markets) is highly desirable. /li liAbility to assess project opportunities and conduct technical and commercial project evaluations. /li liExperience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external consultants. /li liStrong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. /li liFluent in English and in the respective local language (Italian or Polish). /li liWillingness to travel within the country as required. /li liEntrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and hands‑on problem‑solving attitude. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 pAt Nexun, we believe in empowering our team to drive the transition to a low‑carbon economy while enjoying a supportive and dynamic work environment.
