Salesforce is looking for a Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer to join the Informatica Pre‑Sales Solution Engineering team. The role involves providing technical sales partnership to our sales teams, aligning Informatica solutions to customer vision, and supporting sales cycles through discovery, demos, PoCs, workshops, and architectural recommendations.
Responsibilities

- Perform all activities leading up to the delivery of a customer demo including discovery, technical qualification/fit, customer presentations, standard demos, and related customer‑facing communication.
- Respond to Request for Information/Proposal (RFI/RFP) documents.
- Manage customer engagements for assigned accounts and opportunities.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Data Foundations, Core teams, Product Management, Engineering, and Product Marketing to improve Informatica’s products and use‑case positioning.
- Share best practices, content, and tips within primary areas of responsibility.
- Stay current on required certifications for services in your areas of responsibility.
- Partner with the Customer Success team on nurture activities for consumption and adoption support, including technical advisory and workshops.
- Provide customer feedback on product direction.
- Support CxO events, presentations and demos at marketing events.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of presales/technical sales, industry, or consulting experience.
- Basic technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, data warehousing, database,
and/or business intelligence concepts and products.
- Strong communication skills for presentations, storytelling, and engagement with prospects.
- Experience in building relationships with influencers, coaches, decision makers, and partners.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours.
- Preferred: experience with data integration, master data management, data governance products.
- Preferred: certification or working knowledge of cloud ecosystems such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure.
- Preferred: basic knowledge of cloud computing security aspects.
- English and Italian language proficiency.
- Required: degree or equivalent relevant experience. Evaluation will be based on core competencies for the role.
Salary & Benefits
Typical base salary range: EUR 70,425 to EUR 94,200 annually. Collective bargaining agreement: Quadri. Additional benefits may include an incentive component tailored by grade level and other standard benefits.
