About the role satispay is building a financial platform that helps 6 million users manage their money. This role focuses on backend services for savings and investment products. You will contribute to a platform that empowers users to pay, save, and invest.

Key facts

- Location: Milan, Italy
- Engagement: Full-time, Hybrid (3 days in-office: Tuesday, Thursday, plus one flexible day)
- Compensation: €38,000 - €46,000 gross per annum (negotiable based on experience)
- Team: Consumer Wealth Domain

What you'll do
- Design, build, test, and operate backend services for savings and investment products using Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.
- Develop and maintain core functionalities such as the "Invested Money Box," automated savings goals, and investment portfolios, ensuring high reliability.
- Manage AWS-based infrastructure (EC2/ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis) and improve architectural designs for wealth-related microservices.
- Utilize AI tools for code optimization, root cause analysis, and documentation.
- Translate financial requirements into scalable technical solutions, balancing delivery speed with precision.
- Collaborate with Product and UX teams, contributing to code reviews, post-mortems, and refactoring to promote best practices.
- Debug complex issues, investigate production incidents,



and share insights to improve system health.

Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Engineer in fast-paced environments.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining scalable microservices.
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and relational databases.
- Deep understanding of performance, data integrity, and transactional consistency in financial systems.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Fluent in English.
- Interest in FinTech, wealth management, or startup environments.

- Experience with AWS.
