You will partner with the sales team to promote an API‑first development culture, nurture customer relationships, and guide users in leveraging our platform to build their APIs most effectively. Ideal candidates live and breath APIs, have experience in enterprise sales, are comfortable with JavaScript, and are expert Postman users. /p h3What You’ll Do /h3 ul liHelp drive enterprise sales by nurturing prospects and supporting strategic enterprise customers /li liConduct discovery, qualification, technical demos, and proof‑of‑value workshops with prospective customers /li liHandle Postman technical questions or objections and provide solutions or workarounds to address customer needs /li liUnderstand deeply our customer workflows and how they can adopt API‑first development best practices /li liShare customer feedback with appropriate teams and provide general customer advocacy /li liRemain up‑to‑date with the competitive landscape, current trends, and challenges in the API market /li liCreate proof‑of‑concept integrations, tooling,
and workflows as needed to support prospective customers /li liMaintain and develop customer sandbox environments and best practices for working with the product /li liAct as a technical intermediary between sales and other teams to best fit our customer needs /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li8+ years of enterprise sales/solutions engineering experience /li li4+ years of software development experience /li li4+ years of experience with APIs and data platforms /li liBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or relevant work experience /li liRemote work friendly, with the ability to travel up to 50% /li liLoves teamwork and collaboration in a fast‑paced environment /li liCustomer‑facing experience and comfortable engaging all levels of technologists /li liExperience engaging senior management and executive audiences to convey Postman’s value proposition /li liCapable of forging deep,
long‑lasting relationships with strategic customers /li liStrong understanding of APIs and experience producing and consuming APIs across different domains /li liStrong understanding of modern development methodologies and DevOps with an appreciation of the software development life cycle /li liComfortable with the enterprise SaaS sales process and common security concerns of cloud services /li liExperience executing enterprise sales strategies and sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, or Command of the Message /li liExcellent listener who seeks to understand customer goals rather than pre‑supposing solutions /li liFamiliar with typical developer tooling: IDEs, Git, CI/CD, monitoring services, microservices, containers, and cloud computing services /li liFast learner, excited and willing to learn new technology on an ongoing basis /li liExcellent communication skills (presentation, verbal, and written) /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 pPostman offers a comprehensive set of benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, a monthly lunch stipend, wellness programs, and a donation‑matching program.
