The role requires a strong end-to-end vision of the system–payload–ground segment, with technical coordination skills and interaction with clients, suppliers, and partners.

Main Responsibilities:

- Responsibility for the system design and technical consistency of missions and products

- Derivation, consolidation, and management of system and subsystem requirements

- Definition and maintenance of system architectures, functional chains, and interfaces (ICD)

- Contribution to mission analyses and performance budgets (mass, power, data, thermal, link)

- Conducting system trade-offs (architectures, technologies, make-or-buy decisions)

- Preparation of key systems engineering deliverables (CONOPS, requirements, ICD, verification plans)

- Planning and supporting subsystem and system-level integration, verification, and validation
