A luxury wilderness camp in the Musina region is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join its culinary team.

The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality, efficient kitchen operations, and the highest standards of hygiene and service. This role is ideal for a hands-on chef with strong leadership skills and a positive approach to teamwork.

REQUIREMENT:

- RSA ID and legal residence essential
- Valid Driver's Licence with the ability to drive confidently
- Computer literate
- Recognised Chef qualification
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a professional kitchen
- Previous experience in a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie role advantageous
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic (Non-negotiable)
- Promotes teamwork and harmony within the kitchen (Non-negotiable)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:





- Assist the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes to lodge standards
- Supervise and support the kitchen team during service
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning, stock control, and food cost management
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
- Minimise food waste and maintain efficient kitchen operations
- Foster a positive, productive, and collaborative kitchen environment

PACKAGE:

- R10,000 per month
- Semi-furnished live-in accommodation provided
- Discounted food and beverages
- Accommodation located within the reserve and within walking distance of the workplace
