Program Overview
- OMLP is a 2‑year development program consisting of: Three 8‑month rotational assignments that allow members to have hands‑on leadership experience and build supply chain technical & management skills across Avio Aero’s plants in Italy.
- Global trainings to become proficient in lean operations & supply chain management.
- Leadership & Personal Development coursework to develop leadership skills and build connections with GE Aerospace Development Program members throughout the world.
- Collaborate with Assignment Leader in setting and achieving realistic and challenging goals.
- Plan and perform assigned tasks aligned to the business’s priorities and core tenets of safety, quality, inventory, and productivity (SQDC).
- Demonstrate ability to understand and apply operational and technical fundamentals in the business environment using analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Develop cooperation and teamwork while leading diverse groups in the development and implementation of team goals.
- Generate innovative ideas and apply change best practices to ensure impact of key initiatives.
- Participate in Kaizen events and learn & apply lean with a focus on continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace, Mechanical, Energy, Materials Engineering from an accredited University or college.
- Previous junior experience (e.g., co‑op, intern),
preferably in manufacturing/Global Supply Chain.
- English and Italian fluency, written and verbal.
- Geographic flexibility and global mindset with a willingness and ability to work in any of Avio Aero’s 5 manufacturing locations.
- Knowledge of technical drawings.
- Deep passion for aviation/aerospace plus strong commitment for a career in Global Supply Chain.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills coupled with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization showing openness, transparency & humility.
- Strong curiosity to learn.
- Able to own a/o coordinate many tasks concurrently with high execution & follow‑through.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to breakdown the issues and formulate plans to address and rectify situations in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to solve problems and make meaningful change benefiting our customers, people, and organisation in a team/manufacturing environment.
- Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required.
