This role will work closely with the Italy Financial Lines Manager as well as the Continental Europe Head of Professional Indemnity, focusing on the development and expansion of our client and broker relationships, as well as supporting for the acceleration of profitable growth and retention in achieving profitability targets, in line with our local, regional and global strategies. /p pAdditionally, the role will require acting as a company ambassador in the marketplace and with other external stakeholders, seeking to develop and maintain relationships with these key constituents and influencers. /p pbLocation: /b This position will be based out of our bMilan /boffice. We strive for collaboration, which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long lasting careers. /p h3Our Business, Your Impact, Our Opportunity /h3 h3What you’ll be doing: /h3 ul liContribute to the growth and profitability of Sompo International Professional Indemnity portfolio by actively sourcing submissions /li liAnalyze questionnaires, submissions, policy wordings, technical reports to assess exposures /li liAnalyze underwriting information and ensure appropriate terms and conditions are secured in line with the Sompo Professional Indemnity Underwriting Strategy /li liMeet and negotiate with clients and brokers to build relationships and to develop new and renewal business /li liContribute to building a well-diversified and balanced book in terms of risk profile and segmentation /li liPerform contract negotiation, attend and travel to client meetings, presentations to customers and conduct underwriting reviews /li liDevelop, launch and maintain local language Professional Indemnity product versions for the Italian market,



watch local market and products developments /li liBe responsible for underwriting document filings, accuracy of data entries to systems and contract integrity for accounts underwritten /li liEffectively interact, communicate and negotiate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners (such as Distribution, Claims, Risk Engineering) /li liSupport marketing efforts, creating high quality, original solutions to enhance the reputation and market presence of Sompo International /li liFocus on other value-added projects, developments, and activities, as required /li liContribute to adapt and focus the general European regional strategy and appetite structure to the specific needs and opportunities of the Italian scenario /li /ul h3What You’ll Bring /h3 ul li5+ years of experience working in underwriting position in Professional Indemnity in Italy; wider experience is a plus /li liDeep technical knowledge of Professional Indemnity exposures /li liStrong expertise in international Large Corporate risks underwriting /li liGood network within the Italian broker and inhouse risk manager Community /li liStrong interpersonal and communication skills /li liThe highest levels of integrity /li liTeam player /li liGood understanding of economic relationships, business models in the insurance industry and knowledge of strategy development /li liRecognizes opportunities and approaches new trends with an entrepreneurial mindset /li liGood understanding of the insurance regulatory environment in Italy and its influence in business development,
