Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators), therefore have Space to Connect, Secure Defend, Observe Protect, Explore, Travel Navigate. /p pWe are looking for an Avionics Engineer - IVVQ /p pThe job holder will be in charge of the different phases of Avionics testing: Integration, Verification and Validation/Qualification of Satellite Avionics (for all what concern Data Handling - DHC, Attitude and Orbit Control - AOC and Failure Detection Isolation and Recovery - FDIR aspects), up to final test report/documentation preparation and reviews with customer. The job will also include developing of simulation models for Satellite Real Time Environment (RTE) based on C/C++ compliant to ESA ECSS SMP standard. /p h3The proposed job will imply the following duties: /h3 ul liReal/No-Real Time test environment for Hardware In the Loop HIL Testing) /li liReal Time Environment (RTE) Simulation modeling based on C/C++ compliant to ECSS SMP standard; /li liMatlab/Simulink programming; /li liSupport to HW units specification and technical management of related procurement; /li liTo study/understand the design provided by AOCS/DHC Design Authority in order to develop a verification and testing approach; /li liTo develop and write test sequences for AOCS, DHC, FDIR aspects; /li liAvionics VV activity at Avionic Test Bench (ATB) level; /li /ul pThe working site is Rome, but it might be required working in other locations for short mid-term periods. /p pShort periods of 24h shift working across the full week might be required upon specific program needs.



/p h3About You /h3 pEducation and experience /p pYou have a Master Degree in Electrical/Computer/Control Engineering, with explicit focus on programming, Hardware In the Loop Testing and Control Systems Engineering. /p pYou are fluent in English (C1 and above certification) both listening and reading. /p pIt is preferable you have at least 2-3 years of experience in similar position. /p h3Skills and knowledge /h3 ul liKnowledge of kinematics and dynamics of rigid bodies /li liAvionic sensors and actuators technology /li liKnowledge of real/no-real time test environment (for Hardware In the Loop HIL Testing) /li liSW or hybrid (HW/SW) simulators /li liMatlab/Simulink programming /li liC/C++ programming /li liKnowledge of ESA technical standard /li liData Handling Hardware (On Board Computer, Remote Terminal Unit, GNSS receiver, microprocessors) /li liTechnical experience about understanding of the Avionic requirements of a Satellite is plus /li liTechnical experience on Avionic EGSE elements and development on Spacecraft simulator is plus /li liAble to work with instruments of laboratory oscilloscope, multimeter, protocol analyser /li liAble to work on own and in team in an international environment /li liAble to cope with a workload pressures /li liKnowledge of quality process and procedures /li /ul h3Personal ability /h3 ul liCustomer focused, proactive attitude /li liOrganized and methodical approach to the work with strong communication skills /li liAbility to manage multiple tasks at one time, to work autonomously and in team /li liStrong attitude to achieve results within time and cost constraints /li liProblem solving attitude /li /ul pAt Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
